Hoy les quiero hablar sobre el lugar más helado y lejano que he visitado, así como uno de los más bonitos también. Todo fue gracias a mi violín y mi querida Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela. Todo esto ocurrió en Diciembre de 2019.
Today I want to talk about the coldest and farthest place I have visited, as well as one of the most beautiful. This was all thanks to my dear Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. All of this happened in December 2019.
La primera parada fue en Bogotá - Colombia. Hicimos escala en esta ciudad durante tres días, en los cuales descansamos y salimos a conocer.
Llegó el día de irnos a Moscú, pero primero hicimos escala en el aeropuerto de Frankfurt durante unas 6 horas.
The day to take off to Moscow arrived, but first, we made a stopover at the Frankfurt airport for about 6 hours.
Finalmente llegamos a Moscú. Era medianoche, esperamos unos 10 minutos el bus que nos llevaría al hotel, y no miento, fueron los 10 minutos más largos y helados de mi vida, ya que estábamos esperando afuera del aeropuerto y la temperatura esos días estaba en -12 °C.
We finally arrived in Moscow. It was midnight, we waited about 10 minutes for the bus that would take us to the hotel, and I'm not kidding, it was the longest and coldest 10 minutes of my life, since we were waiting outside the airport, and temperature those days was -12 °C.
Llegamos en la madrugada, y solo pudimos descansar unas pocas horas, ya que al otro día teníamos ensayo muy temprano. Desde ese momento no volveríamos a descansar, venían unos tres días de trabajo antes de los dos conciertos, ya que teníamos una semana sin tocar juntos debido al embalaje y las escalas aéreas. Efectivamente no descansamos ni un poco en toda la gira, incluso casi me quedo dormida en un ensayo, porque estos eran todo el día.
We arrived at midnight, so we could only rest for a few hours, since the next day we had a very early rehearsal. From that moment we would not rest again, three days of work began before the two concerts, since we had a week without playing together due to the packaging and the air stopovers. Indeed we did not rest a bit in the whole tour, I even almost fell asleep in a rehearsal, because we rehearsed all day.
La mañana del primer ensayo nevó, llegamos dos horas antes al ensayo, porque debido al cambio climático teníamos que calentar con nuestros instrumentos un rato mientras nos adaptábamos. Pero eso no detuvo a muchos integrantes de la orquesta a que jugaran con la nieve y se tomaran fotos antes de empezar. Estábamos muy cansados, pero a la vez se sentía una atmósfera muy positiva porque todos estábamos felices.
The morning of the first rehearsal it snowed, we arrived two hours before the rehearsal, because due to climate change we had to warm up with our instruments while we adapted. But that did not stop many members of the orchestra from playing with the snow and taking photos before the rehearsal started. We were very tired, but at the same time it felt a very positive atmosphere because we were all happy.
Me sorprendí al ver que los copos de nieve sí eran como en las caricaturas.
I was surprised when I saw that the snowflakes were just like in the cartoons.
Esta fue el día que casi me duermo en el ensayo.
This one was the day I almost fell asleep in a rehearsal.
Ya que ensayábamos todo el día solo pudimos salir a pasear y conocer los monumentos históricos en la noche, cuando hacía más frío.
Since we rehearsed all day we could only go out and see the landmarks at night, when it was colder.
Esto fue en la Plaza Roja, que tenía una decoración especial porque se acercaba la navidad. Todo estaba lleno de luces, y a las 2:00 am todavía había mucha gente por el lugar.
This was at the Red Square, which had a special decoration because christmas was coming. Everything was full of lights, and at 2:00 am there were still many people around.
Conocer la cultura de esta ciudad fue algo inolvidable. Ojalá pudiera repetirlo. @andresjcoboe también estaba, y también se estaba congelando, solo que se quitaba el gorro que le cubría toda la cara para las fotos.
Knowing the culture of this city was unforgettable. I wish I could repeat it. @andresjcoboe was also there, and he was also freezing, but he took off the hat that covered his entire face for the photos.
Llegó el día del primer concierto. Este fue en Zaryadye Concert Hall, una de las salas de conciertos más nuevas e importantes de todo el mundo.
The day of the first concert arrived. It was at Zaryadye Concert Hall, one of the newest and most important concert halls in the world.
Tomar esta foto fue todo un reto, ya que después del ensayo previo al concierto teníamos un tiempo limitado para arreglarnos y calentar. Así que una amiga y yo tuvimos que correr por todo el teatro para tomar la foto antes de que abrieran la sala al público, y de regreso no encontrábamos el camerino porque había muchas puertas y escaleras.
Taking this photo was a challenge, since after the pre-concert rehearsal we had limited time to get ready and warm up. So a friend and I had to run around the theater to take the photo before they opened the room to the public, and on the way back we couldn't find the dressing room because there were many doors and stairs.
Interpretamos la Hipnosis Mariposa de Paul Desenne, las Tres Versiones Sinfónicas de Julian Orbon, que son obras emblemáticas del repertorio latinoamericano, y en la segunda parte del concierto tocamos la 5ta Sinfonía en Mi Menor Op. 64 de Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky, una sinfonía muy reconocida allá, ya que el compositor es ruso.
We performed Paul Desenne's Butterfly Hypnosis, the Three Symphonic Versions of Julian Orbon, which are emblematic works of the Latin American repertoire, and in the second part of the concert we play the 5th Symphony in E Minor Op. 64 by Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky, a well-known symphony there, since the composer is Russian.
