Imagine the scenario: the spartans are in a gay mood and gone to their club, in case the sun ny gay face turns up there and steemit goes the way of the dodo.
What happens to STEEM (the blockchain)?
Does it continue to exist independently...or is it independent, since I see in the white paper of Steem that all they really explain about themselves is how the Steem coins work and acquire value.
So...if someone wants to create a doppelganger steemit style platform, could they use Steem, or must they...plus all the tribe platforms... create a new blockchain? I imagine that saying it is open code does not solve the problem, it is expensive to start a new blockchain, even if using ready-made code? (If the posters are offered the same sizr SP capital, the equivlent of what they have in Steemit,in the new coins, would that make it easier for them to migrate? Since there would be no mammoth owners of the new coin, there would be less of them and all else being equal, it could succeed.
The main hiccup I see is the need for witnesses to quickly create blocks...
I may have not asked all the right questions...but can you help us make a start by giving us a brief explanation?
PS: Selling SP would crash the price which maybe only helps Tron grow their stake at a low cost? By exchanging our SP for a new equivalent, the new group become powerful owners of Steem coins... and since they got them for more or less nothing, they are not vulnerable to the games Tron may want to play.
Re your comment about censorship and there not being any free speech anymore....I do not know of one asian platform or social media of any kind that allows free speech, so you are correct. Wouldn't that be fun?
I wonder if SteemEngine sees a future for themselves by trundling along to Tron?
