Sweet Things,

I sent my husband to get me some yum yum, but the store didn't have any. He got me these instead. Never had them before and they were not what I was expecting. They didn't look that appetising to me, but I had them anyway.

Tesco Chocolate Twist 2 Pack

"2 Pastry twists with a custard and dark chocolate chip filling."*

I opened up the box and took out my first twist. I really turned my nose up at it. It was limp and started to split in the middle. The pastry was a bit soggy in the middle where the custard was and I didn't expect the chocolate to be dark chocolate. My husband knows I'm not a dark chocolate fan, so I was surprised he picked them up for me. That aside, the custard filling was a nice surprise and it did work well with the dark chocolate chips. The custard was all the way through the middle. There wasn't a huge amount, but what was there was nice. I think I would have liked a bit more custard if I bought these knowing there was custard in the middle. The chocolate chips were scattered around evenly too. A nice treat, but just nit sweet enough for me.

I was disappointed when these were handed to me. I know my husband was doing his best, but I wouldn't pick these in a million years. They did taste better then they looked and the custard in the middle was unexpected because at first I thought these were just chocolate chips and pastry. They were nice to eat and there was nothing wrong with them, but I don't think I would be in a hurry to get them again anytime soon. A nice treat, but not what I would go for out of choice. However, if you like dark chocolate, then I think this one is a great treat.
