Another unexpected challenge was dealing with iguanas in the area. At first, I had no idea what was eating the leaves and sprouts, but after a few days of mystery, I spotted the culprits. The iguanas were munching away on the plants that had managed to survive my initial errors. After some research, I learned that certain plants can act as a natural repellent, and I’ve already started planning how to integrate them into my garden. I’ve also removed a palm coconut tree that was likely giving the iguanas a place to hide, so that’s another step toward success next time.
Despite the setbacks, gardening has already proven to be a great source of therapy and a productive way to spend my free time.
