We have a couple months left before the weather turns too cold for our tomato plants. They're all grown out, though, and ready to give one last plentiful harvest.
As I do in each one of these updates to my garden journal, you can follow the link below to visit the previous post. I'll follow them back to the beginning again to see the full journey.

Tomatoes Are All That Are Left
After picking most of the limes off our tree on Sunday, my wife made the tastiest Key Lime Pie. I picked the remaining limes today, which means tomatoes are the only food bearing plant we have left.
At the beginning, I planted a few Hybrid Zucchini seeds and carrots as well. Critters got to the carrots right away, though they wouldn't have made it anyway. Improper placement below the Zucchini made certain of that.
We were able to harvest a few Zuchinni, some quite large, before Powdery Mildew disease wiped out the bunch. Now, I'm collecting wood off my work sites to build another planter.
Looking at the full image above of the tomato area shows the netted enclosure I built. It's holding up well but better yet, we've had no more losses of tomatoes.
Basil & Mint Aren't Food Producing Plants
Okay, I suppose they are. But I'd hate to have to live off only basil and mint. Still, what would food be without them? Flavorless, bland, yucky, etc, etc.
Having even just these couple herbs enhances the cooking area a few feet away. There's nothing like fresh herbs with your home cooked meals! As I plan the next garden stage, I'll have to make sure and include more herbs.
What's Left Of The Great Lime Harvest
A half a bag of perhaps 20 more limes leaves our tree bare. This tops off the full bag I picked on Sunday and I had to work for them. Our lime tree is in the corner where a fence and the outside of our garage meet.
It was a standing room only, hope there wasn't a black widow, ants everywhere, thorns jabbing, tightly enclosed area. But you know what they say when it comes to what you have to do?
Get 'er done! Lol.
Thanks for your time and attention.
As always...
