I would bet a few satoshi's that given enough grant money taken from people who work for a living will get them to a point that another 5 year grant will clarify these questions enough that more funding could ..... well I digress.
Since 1687, when the lad Newton discovered that gravity thing, mankind using the scientific method has yet to demonstrate and repeat that test to prove gravity exists. Hence in 332 years gravity remains a theory.
