Oh, dear. The Republic have a huge task on their hands now as they slipped to an embarrassing and shock defeat against lowly Luxembourg.
I really don't understand why their current crop of players is so poor. The Republic has a long and proud history and for many English like myself, it's their second team and so it's difficult and sad to see why their performances have been so lacking in passion as well as quality!
Of course, no one predicted the Luxembourg win or the first goalscorer and so the pots will carry over to today!
And so it's back to the Qualifiers for today's game where Wales take on the Czech Republic...

Wales have their own problems to worry about! Three of their players were sent home last night after breaching protocols at the hotel they are staying at and their manager, Ryan Giggs is on extended leave as he fights a charge of assault! They also lost against Belgium but beat Mexico in a friendly at the weekend, but the Czech Republic managed a draw with top seeds Belgium and hammered Estonia 6-2. This is going to be a tough one but can Gareth Bale dig them out of a hole yet again?

The Small Print
In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll-over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goalscorer or correct score, the prize is shared and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 45 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all payouts will never exceed 50% of post payout. Other bonuses paid out at my discretion.
