¡Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive! Me complace mucho estar escribiendo por primera vez en esta comunidad y lo hago hablando de este tema que nos deja la iniciativa de @purpleglitter que trata sobre contar nuestra experiencia con el peso y la comida, y aunque ya haya pasado el plazo de participación igual me gustaría hablar sobre este tema.

Hello my dear friends of Hive! I am very pleased to be writing for the first time in this community and I do it talking about this topic that leaves us the initiative of @purpleglitter that is about telling our experience with weight and food, and although the deadline for participation has passed I would still like to talk about this topic.

Yo realmente desde un principio no sufrí nunca de aumento de peso durante mi adolescencia. Siempre fui de contextura delgada y comía todo lo que yo quisiera. Sin embargo, eso no quería decir que no sufriera con mi peso, lo cierto es que en su momento si llegué a tener cierta complejidad, sobre todo cuando se vive en una sociedad donde ciertas personas ven más atractiva a una mujer con curvas que a alguien delgado. Me sentía frustrada porque aunque comiera mucho no veía ningún cambio en mi, siempre pese entre 41 a 42 kilos y lo máximo que llegaba a pesar eran 45 hasta que cumplí los 24 años.

I never really suffered from weight gain during my teenage years. I always had a slim build and ate whatever I wanted. However, that did not mean that I did not suffer with my weight, the truth is that at the time I did have some complexity, especially when living in a society where certain people see a curvy woman as more attractive than someone thin. I felt frustrated because even though I ate a lot I did not see any change in me, I always weighed between 41 to 42 kilos and the most I could weigh was 45 until I turned 24.

Recuerdo que en mi adolescencia siempre que estuve flaca me preguntaba que si comía, si tenia buena alimentación, que debía comer más porque estaba demasiado flaca, hasta tuve un tiempo donde me recetaron suplementos alimenticios para tratar de aumentar de peso pero nada funcionaba y sinceramente me frustraba; me observaba en el espejo y pensaba ¿por qué no puedo tener un cuerpazo como las demás?

I remember in my adolescence whenever I was skinny I always wondered if I was eating, if I had a good diet, that I should eat more because I was too skinny, I even had a time when I was prescribed food supplements to try to gain weight but nothing worked and honestly I got frustrated; I looked at myself in the mirror and thought why can't I have a great body like the others?

Luego, llegó un momento en el que estuve conforme por como estaba, me agradaba ver mi estómago plano y no prestaba atención a lo que decían, pero aún así el en fondo deseaba aumentar un poquito más de peso. Y mientras llegaba ese momento seguía comiendo lo que quisiera.

Then, there came a time when I was happy with the way I was, I was happy to see my flat stomach and I didn't pay attention to what they were saying, but still deep down I wanted to gain a little more weight. And until that time came, I kept eating whatever I wanted.

Ahora, actualmente, me encuentro viviendo en pareja y los pensamientos que he tenido antes han cambiado por completos y aquí quiero mencionar y digamos que dar entender lo que influye que alguien hable de tu cuerpo, físico o peso y en que definitivamente nadie esta conforme con lo que ve.

Now, currently, I find myself living in a couple and the thoughts I had before have changed completely and here I want to mention and let's say understand what influences someone talking about your body, physique or weight and that definitely no one is happy with what they see.

Y es que ahora que estoy viviendo con alguien más, mis costumbres alimenticias cambiaron por completo y mi cuerpo con ello. Pasé de pesar solo 41 a pesar 60 kg y eso realmente no está mal, para mi edad y estatura ese es un peso ideal y yo realmente me encontra contenta porque finalmente había salido de los benditos 40 kg, pero mi cambio ha sido tan notorio que ya las personas no me dicen ¨que flaca estas¨ sino ¨has engordado¨ sobretodo mi mamá que ella no es mala persona ni nada parecido pero digamos que no tiene filtro al momento de decir las cosas y me dice: estas comiendo mucho, no comas tanta comida chatarra, estas más gorda, debes cuidarte, te está saliendo papada y son comentarios que ahora han hecho que vuelva a preocuparme por mi peso pero esta vez por el miedo a engordar, cuando anteriormente ese era mi objetivo ¿y qué ha provocado? inseguridad al momento de comer. Dejé de comer las cantidades que usualmente consumía disminuyendo las porciones y hasta dejando de comer cosas o beber otras para evitar aumentar ¿y por qué? por los comentarios.

And now that I am living with someone else, my eating habits changed completely and my body with it. I went from weighing only 41 to weigh 60 kg and that really is not bad, for my age and height that is an ideal weight and I was really happy because I had finally left the blessed 40 kg, but my change has been so noticeable that people no longer tell me ¨how skinny you are¨ but ¨you have gained weight¨ especially my mom who is not a bad person or anything like that but let's say that she has no filter when saying things and tells me: you are eating too much, don't eat so much junk food, you are fatter, you should take care of yourself, you are getting a double chin and these are comments that now have made me worry about my weight again but this time for fear of getting fat, when previously that was my goal and what has it caused? Insecurity at the moment of eating. I stopped eating the amounts I usually consumed, decreasing the portions and even stopping eating things or drinking other things to avoid gaining weight and why? because of the comments.

Ahora, estoy en el proceso de evitar que eso me afecte preocupándome más por mi salud y menos por lo que digan los demás y agradezco que mi amor @hectorfaria1 siempre este allí para colocar mi cabeza en la tierra diciéndome que me veo bien, que estoy en mi peso ideal, motivándome a ser más y mencionandome siempre que me ama tal y como soy activa y mi mejor amiga @fotorincon12 que dice que todos estás locos y con cada foto que le paso preguntándome como me veo, siempre me suba el autoestima. Son mi mejor sistema de apoyo💜.

Now, I'm in the process of preventing that from affecting me by worrying more about my health and less about what others say and I'm thankful that my love @hectorfaria1 is always there to put my head on the ground telling me that I look good, that I'm at my ideal weight, motivating me to be more and always mentioning to me that she loves me just the way I am active and my best friend @fotorincon12 who says everyone is crazy and with every picture I pass her asking me how I look, always raises my self esteem. They are my best support system💜.

Aún siento que tengo un camino por delante como por ejemplo: tengo la meta de hacer más ejercicios, tener una mejor alimentación y eso no quiere decir que vaya a comer menos sino que coma alimentos que traigan beneficios para mi salud pero definitivamente la prioridad está en lograr tener una vida mucho más activa y menos sedentaria.

I still feel that I have a way to go, for example: I have the goal of exercising more, having a better diet and that does not mean that I will eat less but eat foods that bring benefits to my health, but definitely the priority is to achieve a much more active and less sedentary life.

Por ello quiero culminar este post hablándome a mi misma y a ustedes de la misma manera y es que no debe importarles nunca lo que digan los demás porque nunca estarán conformes con lo que hagas, solo importa el como se sientan ustedes consigo mismos. Si sientes que estas conforme con tu cuerpo esta bien y eso es lo que importa. Eso si, siempre debemos buscar la manera de mejorar, nunca estará mal sentir que necesitas ayuda para afrontar alguna situación que estés enfrentando. Tampoco tengas miedo de hacer cosas diferentes que permitan mejorar tu salud, has ejercicio, prueba nuevas cosas, recetas, cambia tu rutina si sientes que te esta haciendo daño de alguna manera. Siempre ve por ti mismo y nunca por lo demás. Ámate primer y tu cuerpo te lo agradecerá💜

That is why I want to end this post talking to myself and to you in the same way and that is that you should never care about what others say because they will never be happy with what you do, it only matters how you feel about yourself. If you feel that you are happy with your body is fine and that is what matters. We should always look for ways to improve, it is never wrong to feel that you need help to deal with a situation you are facing. Don't be afraid to do different things to improve your health, exercise, try new things, recipes, change your routine if you feel it is hurting you in any way. Always go for yourself and never for others. Love yourself first and your body will thank you💜.
