Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. This is another day in the #inleomonthly prompt. Why do we isolate ourselves? There are many reasons why people isolate themselves from people and society; someone who is mentally or physically not okay will isolate themselves from people.
Isolation is staying away from people; someone who is isolating their self maintains their space. There is nothing wrong if one decides to isolate their self from friends and society; there are times one will wish to stay on their own. And fix their lives. There are some reasons why people decide to isolate themselves from people when they are being hurt. I have this friend of mine who always isolates herself. She always thinks less of herself; she thinks she is not good enough. Her low self-esteem always makes her isolate herself. For me, the best way to heal is to isolate yourself.
For someone to isolate themself, they are really passing through a lot, and they want to heal. The only way to heal is to isolate from people. One thing about isolation is it only lasts for a short period. Isolation is the best thing to do when our emotions are overwhelming.
Grieving is a very terrible period for me. I can remember the period I lost my dad; I isolated myself from people who didn’t understand me. That moment, the death of my dad, put me in a state that I had to distance myself from some of my friends; most of their conversations always hurt me. Back then, when my friends came to my place, they would always be telling me their dad bought them this and that, and it was really hurting me. I was really uncomfortable around them. My friend made my grief worse for me. Anytime they left my house, I would cry my eyes out. The best thing for me to do is to isolate myself from them.
Another reason why I isolate myself is when I am hurt from heartbreak. Whenever I am hurt by my partner or friend, I isolate myself from them so that I can heal very fast. Seeing them will pierce my heart. I have to isolate myself so that I can heal.
Another reason why I isolate myself is low self-esteem. I always think less of myself. I am always afraid that people will always criticise me over every little thing I do, so isolating myself from them and staying on my own is the best thing for me.
Most times I isolate myself when I want to reflect on my life and plan for my life during this period; I don’t need anyone to disturb me. The best thing for me is to isolate myself so that I can brainstorm on my goals and how I will achieve the goals.
Self-isolation is never a crime at all; isolating is the best way to heal.
