The greatest feeling a man can ever have is to love and to be loved by everyone around him. I have felt this type of feeling of being loved by people around and I have also felt the opposite of it which still stays in my memory, it is very sad to know that the human brain comprehends more negativity which means we tend to remember the negativity around us more than the good things around, which is why I say the greatest feeling a man can ever have is to love himself first before he can love the world.
Self-acceptance of who you are must be our first love, accepting who we are and where we come from, even though it might be hard or uncomfortable, even though our parents are not who we expect them to be, or everything around us does not go as planned. There is one thing I have always studied about this world, which is nothing goes as planned, and it always ends up in an unexpected way, which is why we must learn to accept ourselves first before we can accept what life has to offer us or what the world has to say about us.
I have grown to love myself first before anyone else because I understand the fact that if I fail to love myself the way I express my love for others, then it is no true love, and this has made me understand that self-acceptance is the beginning of one's true form and understanding. I try to accept that I am not perfect and weak, even though it seems difficult and embarrassing. I am a young man looking forward to gaining more experience about life and ready to embrace both the good and bad of life, but can this be accomplished if I fail to love myself first before any other thing.
Personally, one of the general ways I express self-love myself is:
I buy fancy clothes that I feel look good on me and attract respect. Trust me, dressing well really attracts a lot of good things around, including friends.
I make sure I eat good meals and a balanced diet. Sometimes, I even take myself to a fancy restaurant and spend money there to eat good meals. I personally love this because it makes me feel alive, maybe because I love food so much.
I spend money on self-care routines, like Taking care of my skin, taking multivitamins exercising and gym to be in good shape; all this is classified under self-care even though they are very broad to explain. I make sure I take care of my face because I believe beauty attracts good things around, and I also work to have a better and better shape that is great and lovely.
Life itself is hard, but when we start to embrace ourselves and love ourselves, we start to see the good things of living and distract our minds away from anything that may give negativity around us. Love yourself first, and you start to see how other things get easier to embrace with yourself.
