Going from being a weapon in your academics to being an average student is really hurtful. Being an intelligent student from childhood to senior high then to not knowing how to even study in college. Struggling to get the A's and making my parents proud of me is justing having a toll on my mental health . Everything is just going haywire . What should I do ? How should I even start to get to where I used to be ? I feel like none of the study techniques I even use is helping? I'm breaking down. The fear of failure and disappointment is getting to me.
The fear of failure is a common and deeply ingrained emotion that affects many individuals in various aspects of their lives. It is an intense apprehension of not achieving desired outcomes or falling short of expectations, and it can be paralyzing and discouraging. Whether it pertains to personal relationships, academic pursuits, career goals, or creative endeavors, the fear of failure can have a significant impact on one's mindset and actions.
At its core, the fear of failure is often rooted in the fear of judgment, rejection, or the loss of self-worth. People may worry about what others will think of them if they fail, or they may internalize failure as a reflection of their abilities or character. This fear can be particularly strong when individuals have high standards for themselves or when they have experienced previous setbacks or disappointments.
