As a newbie still trying to find a strong foot on the amazing hive blockchain, I was really excited when I came across this community, I have taken time to go through the rules and operations of the community and hopefully, I will be able to write to ask for membership position in the community. I know that love is a beautiful thing, but I am not ready to walk down that path just yet, I think I am still young and I should probably take my time, although I have so many female friends who tell me about their experiences in different relationships, the rate at which they come to me for relationship advice is so funny, so I am that single guy whose friend come to for relationship advice(lol).
Speaking about resentment which is the theme for the month, I would like to share an emotional story with you, which describes a clear case of resentment. A young lady who was known to be very stern when it comes to matters of the opposite gender finally falls in love with a young man whom she believes fits into her perfect description of her prince charming, the problem, however, was that, he was not financially buoyant enough to take care of himself, talk more of take care of her. She was fine with it, after all, she was very hard-working and wasn't looking for a man to carry her burden. The most important thing to her was that he had great dreams and plans, and for her, that was just enough.

She stood with him all through the years, she had a job that was suitable enough to help them feed, pay bills and live moderately, all the while, he was also not lying around just eating and sleeping, he was also working on steps to actualize his dreams, they were able to survive in that manner for years.
After a few years, luck shinned on him and his dreams got actualized, it was a big win for them, they were able to move into a more decent home, as a matter of fact, their standard of living massively changed. She was happy that finally, his dreams came through and of course she could experience a great relief from carrying the burden of the entire family on her shoulder and of course she could also enjoy some of the very good things of life also. With her decision to stay with a man that had nothing but dreams, her family had turned her back on her based on the fact that, they had other suitors who according to them, were reputable suitors, but she turned them down to support the dreams of the man she loved and believed in.
They also decided not to make babies yet until they were financially stable enough to take care of them, she was pregnant once and she had to go through the process of abortion because according to them they needed to be financially stable enough to get one. After the massive break they have both been praying for came, it was a massive relief and of course he started to shower her the love he promised.

He asked her to quit her job since he was now making enough to take care of the both of them, but as the hard working lady that she was, she decided not to quit her job and just sit at home, she kept on working even if her salary went straight into saving, charity and investment, well, the good thing is, she didn't quit her job and you will find out soon.
After some months of enjoying what seem like a blissful honey moon phase for her, he started giving excuses to stay out late, this was not something she was used to, but she choose to understand that he was now more busy than before and it was one of the things she needed to bear in mind, but it graduated into him spending days away from home, all this he did with the excuse of getting busy, going for business trips amongst other things.
All the while, she was trying to get pregnant but it was proving abrotive, rumors started to fly but after confronting her husband about it, he re-assured her they were all false and of course she had no reason to doubt this man she had been with for years, so she choose to believe him.
She was at work on this faithful day when she started to get several notifications, she was busy so she said she will check it later, but it became very persistent and she had to take a moment to look at the notification, what she saw almost made her pass out almost instantly, but she had to control herself into her car, the good thing is she had a driver so she didn't have to driver herself home. She could not control the tears and broke down in tears as she saw her husband getting married to his pregnant girlfriend.
It became clear to her that, all the rumour she had been shoving away all this while is actually true, by the time she got home, his belongings were gone and she found a note on the table, informing her that he is sorry, he had to move on and he is leaving the house for her as well as the money they have in their home saving account.
As she sat on the floor, tears kept rolling down, her head kept banging, all that was running through her mind, were the days she had to take up double shifts at work to enable them get money to feed, how she had to abort her own baby because he was not financially stable enough and now he is having a child of his own with another woman,at some point tears stopped pouring down and she really wish this was all a dream.
Her Mum and siblings heard the news of the wedding and when they tried calling her, she was't picking up anyone's call, they rushed down to be with her, as a matter of fact, it was a timely intervention as she was almost loosing her mind, but for the timely intervention of friends and family members who tried their best to make sure she was alright and to get her the help she needed. Of course, she got better, she sold the house he left for her to avoid some memories and she bought her own home with her own space.
The fact is that, she greatly resents her ex-husband, oh yes I forgot to add that he sent in an already signed divorce papers few weeks later. She has healed and she is doing well for herself but the resentment she has for this man is on another level, now with this story, do you think she has the right to the feeling of resentment she feels or not?
