Introduction

Despite being innocent and right, I have become victim of several circumstances and bad events. The experiences have bad impact on my health, mental and physical well-being. Those events really taught me lessons which have build up my successful existence and survival. Let's me share some of them with you, their causes, effects and lessons.

During my early days, I was trained as a certified teacher for young children. I was very good at it and my children loves me so dearly. After upgrading my teaching skills and talents under a higher educational institution in our region, I moved to a better school for teaching and coaching the younger ones. School should be a place where love is being practiced that's what I did every day.

Being new teacher in this big school comes with better salary and challenges. Their salary scale is very attractive which is very good for my upkeep despite huge workload. I'm very industrious and clever, so performing my best was very pleasing. My new students loves me so dearly because of my ever - pleasing skills and talents. The school authority headed by my mother's friend really happy to appreciate me for my good work.

The challenges presented itself when a robbery act occurs in our teacher's rest room. One of our teacher found out that her money purse have been stolen. Every effort to recover it and it's content became a big problem facing everyone. Being new that most of the teachers did not know very well become their reasons of suspecting me. It started as a rumor till one of our teacher openly accused me of being the heartless thief that stole my fellow teacher's purse. Every effort to clear my name even become their evidence of victimizes me.

Although the teacher that lost her purse is the real victim, now becoming their suspect without proper investigation makes me an emotional victim. Their words and actions taunts and dehumanizes me a lot. I even suggested the best ways of finding the missing purse but was shouted down to close my mouth and get their purse for them. I become emotional demoralized and hunted.

A serious emergency meeting was called. Every teacher was presented and prayer ushered by our head of the teachers. Mr. Johnson, a man of faith believes that prayers can solves every problems. He prayed so seriously and keep repeating my name in his prayers that God should touch my heart to give up the purse. He even reminds God, the importance of the money inside the purse. The money is the only hope for their real victim's family. Her husband has fatal accident that claimed many lives in death but he survived with serious injuries like broken legs etc. No wonder, everyone is very sympathetic and wanted to help her to recover the missing purse. After their prayers, they started to plead with me to provide that purse as their prime suspect and their words affects me emotionally.

However, God answered their prayers in her own perfect way. God answers our prayers in his "own" ways that can be different from our preferred ways. Remember that the school is being owned by my mother's friend whose family have been our family's friend for long time. She knows me very well and understand what the situation is. In her efforts of calming down the situation, she pleaded with the real victim and gave her money for her because they really needs it. In our meeting, she calm everyone down to stop victimizing me that with time, the case will be resolved and the real culprit can be found which happens when one of the students was caught red handed with that stolen purse in one of the abandoned school buildings.

Nevertheless, every teacher apologize fervently to me. They explained in detail how the culprit stolen the purse and misused the money for his needs like candies and biscuits. I was exonerated from all charges because the culprit did not mention my name as his partner in crime. I was unjustly accused and victimized despite being innocent. I learnt a lesson of my life that day, I will never accuse another person without properly investigation and examination of the situation. Trying my best to calm down the intense situation, rather than making hate speeches that will affect the victims emotionally.

Victimization can be very harmful and occurs in various forms like the scenario narrated above. It can affect an individual physically, emotionally and psychologically. Victims suffer a lot which can be their assets, money and even their self esteem.
