La era de los servicios de streaming llegó hace tiempo y parece que no hay vuelta atrás. Hay mucha comodidad poder reproducir lo que quieres, cuando quieres y el tiempo que quieras, esto ha hecho que la televisión convencional pierda cada vez más auge, por decirlo de alguna forma, ya anteriormente tenias que ver lo que la televisión decidiera que veas, es decir que no tenias el control de ver la programación a tu gusto.

Sin embargo, los televisores más viejos no gozan de esta tecnología aunque tengan Buena calidad de imagen, sonido, etc. Es lamentable que literalmente tengamos que desechar estos televisores para adquirir televisores inteligentes y sentirte a la moda.
Me imagino yo que, pensando en una solución para aquellas personas que no quieren cambiar sus televisores y aprovechar el cubrir una necesidad y dominar ese mercado, llegaron los dispositivos de streaming. Esos dispositivos que se conectan al televisor y hacen que el TV se convierta en un equipo Inteligente y hoy he convertido mi viejo TV en un smart TV. Pero no he realizado gran inversión, tampoco he comprado una marca super famosa, realmente no quería gastar mucho dinero.

Luego de indagar un poco en el mercado, compre el onn. FHD Streaming Stick, un dispositivo creado por la gente de Walmart y que tiene un costo aproximado de 15$ en la tienda. Pero como en mi país no existe esta tienda, lo compre en una tienda de accesorios tecnológicos por el costo de 35 USDT.

Por el precio se puede pensar que los materiales de construcción son de mala calidad, pero me ha sorprendido la calidad del control. Se siente de buena calidad, un plástico que seguro va a resistir varias caídas. Pero algo que me encanto del control, es que tiene puerto infrarrojo para controlar el tv y aunque el TV se puede controlar por el puerto HDMI, algunos TV no permiten están función y resulta útil poder prender el TV o controlar el volumen sin tener que utilizar otro control adicional.

Pero siendo honesto, el stick estará conectado detrás del tv y no se necesita que sea de materiales resistentes. Cuenta con ranuras que funcionan de respiradero, un puerto micro USB que aunque no es USB tipo c, es algo que no afecta mucho ya que no estaremos conectando y desconectado el stick o por lo menos ese es mi caso.

Utilizar el dispositivo por primera vez es muy fácil, solo lo conecte y configure utilizando el asistente de Google. Literalmente le hable a mi teléfono para que configurara el stick y así fue, no tuve que agregar manualmente los datos de la red Wifi ni mi cuenta de Google. De igual forma, el asistente te guía paso a paso.
Using the device for the first time is very easy, I just plugged it in and set it up using the Google Assistant. I literally talked my phone into setting up the stick and it did, I didn't have to manually add the Wifi network data or my Google account. Likewise, the wizard guides you step by step.
Una vez configurada la red y la cuenta de Google, en mi caso recibí una actualización. Una vez instalada la actualización, también se actualiza en el control, se configura para controlar el TV y también se configura el asisten de Google para las funciones de voz. Todo esto es un proceso bastante sencillo y guiado.

Puedes que pienses que no 1gb de RAM y 5gb de almacenamiento no sean suficiente y tienes toda la razón. Pero también va a depender del uso que deseas darle. En mi caso solo deseo disfrutar de Netflix, HBO, Prime video y algunos videos en YouTube. Probé reproducir una hora en cada uno de estas apps y el dispositivo funciono sin problema algún, sin retazo, sin pegarse la reproducción de video, no note que fuera necesario mas memoria, incluso con audífonos bluetooh conectados.
You may think that 1gb of RAM and 5gb of storage is not enough and you are absolutely right. But it will also depend on what you want to use it for. In my case I only want to enjoy Netflix, HBO, Prime video and some YouTube videos. I tried playing an hour on each of these apps and the device worked flawlessly, no lag, no video playback sticking, I didn't notice that more memory was needed, even with bluetooth headphones connected.
Ahora, si quieres jugar bien sea utilizando juegos que están en la app store o emularlos, en este apartado si encontraras limitaciones, pero también dependerá muchísimo del juego que utilices. Yo como no pretendo jugar, por el costo de este dispositivo me parecido perfecto para renovar mi viejo TV, disfrutar de contenido multimedia y seguir jugar en mi móvil o pc cuando sea necesario. Si tuviera que darle un puntaje del 1 al 10, le daría 9 (basándome en la gama de precios), una valoración que podría cambiar luego de 1 mes de uso. Por cierto, el sistema y la ejecución de las apps es super fluido.
