As an extracurricular activity and to support my university studies, on Saturdays I am taking some courses at @academos_mat, an Information Technology Academy in my city, which has interesting proposals, and with whom I took a Basic JavaScript Course that I really liked. A month and a half ago I had the opportunity to take a Domotics Course from Zero, and today I tell you about it.
Domotics is a set of systems and technologies capable of automating a home or building, in order to provide energy management services, security, welfare and communication, to make homes smarter, more efficient and improving the quality of life of people.
In this initial course of Domotics we saw from Basic Electronics, Programming with A.I., Arduino, Sensors (Motion, humidity, temperature and lighting), Actuators (Relays, motors), ESP32 and Wifi and Bluetooth communication (I really liked this) The course was very complete at theoretical and practical level, they lent us the electronic components and computers to learn and have the experience.
I had a lot of fun and enjoyed practicing on the Protoboard and the Arduino UNO with the Photocells, LEDS, IR Sensor, Ultrasonic, PIR Sensor, Sound Sensor, Buzzer and Relays. They also taught us how to handle an excellent tool to learn how to make the connections, it is called Tinkercard and it was an ally when studying and learning at home. The academy gave me a lot of support regarding the components and obviously I had to take care of them.
To complete the course we must present a project, I made a model of a home that consisted of a lighting automation with a PIR sensor and a security system with a matrix keyboard and a 180 degree servo motor, first I created it in Tinkercard with its connections and code (also its programming section in C) and then I did it physically, to see how it worked I was very excited, there you can see my happiness to pose next to my circuit.
Domotics is a field that aligns perfectly with the career I study at the university which is Systems Engineering, as it offers many opportunities and practical applications such as:
Participate in the design of home automation system architectures to integrate different technologies in homes or buildings.
Programming and software development such as the development of algorithms for intelligent energy management, the creation of intuitive user interfaces or artificial intelligence for home automation systems to learn from user habits and make autonomous decisions.
Integration of systems and new technologies.
That is, this course of Domotics from scratch gave me a basis to know so many possibilities that I have to develop as a future Systems Engineer, to have a clearer vision of where I can orient my career and train me. It was a course from scratch and I really liked it, there is a lot to learn, everything fascinates me, it is a world of possibilities, and I think the best way to invest in my future is to prepare myself day by day and that's what I'm doing.

Como actividad extracurricular y para apoyar mis estudios universitarios, los sábados estoy haciendo algunos cursos en @academos_mat, una Academia de Tecnología de la Información en mi ciudad, que tiene interesantes propuestas, y con quienes realicé un Curso de JavaScript Básico que me gustó muchísimo. Hace un mes y medio tuve la oportunidad de tomar un Curso de Domótica desde Cero, y hoy les cuento sobre esto.
La Domótica es un conjunto de sistemas y tecnologías capaces de automatizar una vivienda o edificación, con el fin de aportar servicios de gestión energética, seguridad, bienestar y comunicación, para hacer hogares más inteligentes, eficientes y mejorando la calidad de vida de las personas.
En este curso inicial de Domótica vimos desde Electrónica Básica, Programación con I.A, Arduino, Sensores (Movimiento, humedad, temperatura e iluminación), Actuadores (Relés, motores),ESP32 y Comunicación de Wifi y Bluetooth (me gustó muchísimo esto) El curso estuvo muy completo a nivel teórico y practico, nos prestaban los componentes electrónicos y computadoras para poder aprender y tener la experiencia.
Me divertí y disfruté muchísimo practicar en la Protoboard y en el Arduino UNO con las Fotoceldas, LEDS, Sensor IR, Ultrasónico, Sensor PIR, Sensor de Sonido, Buzzer y los Reles. También nos ensenaron a manejar una excelente herramienta para aprender hacer las conexiones, se llama Tinkercard y fue un aliado a la hora de estudiar y aprender en mi casa. La academia me apoyo mucho con respecto a los componentes y obviamente debí de cuidarlos.
Para culminar el curso debemos presentar un Proyecto, yo realicé una maqueta de un hogar que consistía en una Automatización Lumínica con un Sensor PIR y un Sistema de Seguridad con un Teclado Matricial y un servomotor de 180 grados, primero lo cree en Tinkercard con sus conexiones y código (También su sección de Programación en C) y luego lo hice en físico, al ver como funcionó me emocioné demasiado, ahí pueden ver mi felicidad al posar al lado de mi circuito.
La Domótica es un campo que se alinea perfectamente con la carrera que estudio en la universidad que es Ingeniería de Sistemas, ya que ofrece muchas oportunidades y aplicaciones prácticas como:
Participar en el diseño de arquitecturas de sistemas domóticos para integrar diferentes tecnologías en las viviendas o edificaciones.
Programación y desarrollo de Software como desarrollar algoritmos para la gestión energética inteligente, crear interfaces de usuario intuitivas o con inteligencia artificial para que sistemas domóticos aprendan de los hábitos de los usuarios y tomar decisiones autónomas.
Integración de sistemas y nuevas tecnologías.
Es decir, que este curso de Domótica desde cero me dio una base, para conocer tantas posibilidades que tengo para desarrollarme como futura Ingeniero de Sistemas, para tener una visión más clara de hacia donde puedo orientar mi carrera y capacitarme. Apenas fue un curso desde cero y me gustó muchísimo, hay mucho que aprender, todo me tiene fascinada, es un mundo de posibilidades, y creo que la mejor forma de invertir en mi futuro es preparándome día a día y en eso estoy.
