When I saw this topic, I just sigh. Because deep down, I know the answer already. For me to move forward in life right now, I need to sacrifice my comfort zone. That small space wey dey feel safe, where nothing dey stress me and everything just dey soft that same place na wetin dey hold me back.
I’ve been inside this comfort zone for too long. I no dey push myself reach the way I suppose. I dey always tell myself No rush, take your time, life go balance But make I talk true life no dey wait for anybody. Time dey go, and I dey still dey same place.
Sometimes I go see people chasing their dreams, starting business, learning new things, and I go just dey watch. Not because I no want am but because fear dey hold me Fear of failing, fear of starting, fear say maybe I no go fit. So instead of trying, I go just hide inside my comfort zon
But lately I dey ask myself how long I go dey like this If I no make move now, when I go do am I get dreams I get goals, but those things no go just happen if I no take action
I realize say to move forward, I must let go of this my easy life mentality I need to start waking up with purpose, even if body no gree I need to say yes to new opportunities, even when I dey shakeI need to stop waiting for perfect moment because perfect moment no dey exist.
Sacrificing my comfort zone no go be easy. I know say I go still feel scared, I go still feel like running back sometimes. But I don tire to dey stagnant. I want more from life. I want to grow, I want to be proud of myself, I want to look back one day and say, Yes, I try
I fit start small maybe learning that one skill I’ve been postponing, or putting more energy into my dreams. I no need to do everything at once. Step by step, I go get there
So yes, if you ask me now, the one thing I must sacrifice to move forward, na this my comfort zone. That soft life wey no dey help me grow. I need to step out take risks and believe say something better dey outside waiting for me.
