Bad news travels fast, Good news takes the scenic route.

Hello everyone it's @chimegipamus once again sharing with you the training we have to be a positive correspondence. Let's go!
Mass Communication was my first choice in choosing a course to take during my younger years, but sadly my parents could not afford to let me take it that is why I ended up being a teacher, not my choice but theirs and it ended up that I also love teaching as time goes by. I believe you have your first choice of getting a course also. loL but so much for that 😂😂😅♥️
Have you heard about Spin Media? Well If not I"'ll let you know about it later on this blog. Last Sunday we were invited to be a part of it
together with some students of Cebu Technological University (CTU) in the City of Naga campus.
The orientation started at 1:30 in the afternoon with Sir Joebert as the City Director. After some opening and a shared word of God, we have our first speaker, ma'am Janice as she speaks to us about how to do the broadcasting. She was a graduate of Bachelor of Mass Communication major in Broadcasting.
The first thing she did was a little bit of theory and knowledge but as the training goes on we learn how to make or write news. After the discussion, we had our practical application. Some of the students were doing the broadcasting. They were given a task to properly deliver sports and entertainment news.
While waiting for the next speaker, some students gave their intermission numbers, like we were having a short concert in the hallway. After a few minutes, Spin Media correspondence arrived wearing their uniform. We were introduced to them one by one. It so happened that he was the provincial director of spin media.
So much on waiting the regional director arrived as the last speaker. Bishop Rory once again discussed what Spin Media is.
Spin Media is an international non non-government, nonprofit organization focusing on positive news reports. Its members were consist of Pastors, church leaders, and members. Where its advocacy is to lessen graft and corruption, which are visible and vigilant at all levels of public governance.
The director first introduced us to the Bill of Rights 1995 of the Philippine Constitution. SPIN means Secure the Philippines Initiative Network. It started in 2005 in Canada and it spreads out in the entire Philippines. The directors were planning to have one station in Cebu which is why they connect to church leaders to be a part of positive news.
A short pause was made to have snacks and then continue to discuss the pros and cons of being a part of it. It was very exciting to be a part of Spin Media but it is also a great responsibility. They have also their programs, or what they cater, like agroforestry, employment, training, highway patrol and even feeding events.
Once you become part of Spin Media you have easy access to the government, which has additional influence in the area of operations. It can also give you credentials and be respected. It opens opportunities to help local churches and a lot more, it can also give additional income opportunities.
Once you are officially a member they will issue you an official Identification card so whenever you may go you are recognized as part of the media. But do not abuse for it can ban you from being a media personality and will not be recognized as part of the group.
It was indeed a privilege to be part of it. It can help small churches be recognized in the communities where they serve. Overall the training was one of the most significant training that I attended.
It was very useful and needful given the chance to hear positive news because all the news that we hear was negative.
With the City and Regional Director of Spin Media
This training enables us to be equipped and open our eyes that there is still positive news to cover and to share anywhere. In this troubled world, we all need positivity. This training gives me a positive outlook on being myself and will enhance my writing and self-confidence in facing many people in the media world.
That would be all I hope we spread positive stories today. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Please take time to re-blog and upvote, and also your share opinion on this topic.
Au revoir#!
