If nothing much will make one see the need and usefulness of physical activity, I guess the PHE (Physical and Health Education) lessons received in school should speak volumes to this. These lessons were well planted as coordinated approach to see young ones imbibe the character and quality of physical fitness in themselves, and their system essentially. We might have played ourselves through the lessons, but its essence can't be downplayed.
Physical activities range through different kind of activities. The binding fact is that they are all gearing towards a better, improved and healthy body system. These physical activities include, but not limited to; a long walk, running or jogging, skipping, hiking, cycling, push-ups, weight lifting, engaging in one sport or the other. Some of these activities are ones that can be carried out right from the comfort of our homes. This I say because, one excuse people give for not partaking in these activities is that they don't have the luxury of registering and being part of a gym, exercise group or so.
One other reason that has affected the value people put to engaging in physical activities is the pain, and dedication that comes with it. To be honest, whatever be the nature of the activity—from the small and easier ones to lifting weights and tough sports that require much resilience, they will all be painful, hitting hard on your tissues that you should want to give up. But then, understanding that no good thing comes easy should give a reconsideration and make for a resilient effort.
Physical activities accrue to a lot of benefits for an individual. Hence, this has played on it a lot of importance that sadly many don't see today. Perhaps for reasons as such above. Well, allow me to make mention of some.
There's a misconception when it comes to engaging in physical activities. And that is that, "it is meant for those who want to have a reduction in body size/weight". I think one will only think like this when he or she hasn't realised the all binding importance of being physically fit. From helping to burn fats that will lead to a reduction in body weight and size to helping build a healthy body system, it resonates with all and sundry. So importantly, it should be noted that this helps to build a healthy body system.
Physical activities help to build a good immune body system. Through the rigours of the exercise, subjecting the body system to pressure, it tends to strengthen and keep at alert the body's immune system, helping it actively fight against germs and diseases. You can say that will mean less money to spend on hospital bills. Yes, it is.
The body will function more smoothly when it's subjected to constant physical activities. The digestive, respiratory systems, the body's metabolism will all flow well and better when there's a level of physical activities that constantly keeps the body in check. This will ultimately lead to a better and healthy life.
This will all lead—one way or another—to a more productive life beyond the health aspect. I guess if your systems are all working smoothly, you're doing alright, you feel fit and agile, your body is in perfect shape, then you should find yourself working smoothly too, and tackling your work and businesses without your health as a deterrent to that.
Engaging and keeping to physical activities can be one seemingly hard and impossible task. However, when the value is weighed and considered, it would be seen as one worthy and needful thing to put into practice for its overall benefit to a person.
