Hello Hello Hivers and Hivians!
It has finally come, and it's a wrap!
What do I mean I hear nobody ask?
The end of the football season, and with it the end of the fantasy football 2024/5 season for Tengo Rangers FC.
So how did we do?
Are there any lessons to be learnt?
WIll I be doing it again next season?
By the way, thank you Gemini for creating my AI art for the lead image, about as fanciful as me winning the league!
Let's get analysing!
How did we do?
I finished with 2,264 points and an overall rank of 1,957,990
The good news is broke into the top 2 million out of 11.5 million players which sounds better than it is considering millions of players will have given up after the first couple of months or so!
Leagues & Cups - Tengo Rangers FC
Hive FPL
Position 24th!
The main Event Hive FPL Div 2
This was the division that I needed to come in the top 5 to get promoted to the Hive FPL First division...
... as you can see I ended up 13th! There were 62 teams in the second division so it could have been worse.
My three draws hurt me, as did forgetting to look at my team on a weekly basis!
Are there any lessons to be learnt?
Fluff yes!
Come out of the blocks firing ... Take a look at my first half of the season...
Game Week 1 was a fluffing disaster and set the tone for the whole season I think!
I was almost 6 millionth! Fluffing shite to put it mildly!
My glory week was in game week 3 where I scored 83 points and was placed in the top one million this hauled my position up to 2.7 millionth and it was another 10 weeks before I bettered that postion into 3.4 milliionth!
But then I slipped down again and finished the first half of the season in 3.33 millionth position ...
Now the second half of the season was a bit better
I kicked off game week 20 with 87 points and a game week rank of 296,219 yes in the top 300k! Now that was fluffing awesome!
I was a on a wee bit of a roll and by game week 24 had hauled myself up to 1.5 millionth!
Hip hip hooray!
Then it all went to ratshit, I forget to check the teams, injuries hit and then bad luck thrown in.
Not to worry everyone has the same story.
I did learn that I can improve if I stick at it and do some analysing..
Why you say?
That's why ... I scored more points and placed higher than last season!
WIll I be doing it again next season?
The simple and short answer is YES!
A big shout out to the @hivefpl guys especially @talesfrmthecrypt who writes the weekly previews and results. I know they take some time and give some great tips if you read them!
Thank you for all you do.
What about the off season ... Well ....
