Introduction
This is my first post to the Metaverse,3DCG community!
Admin @cameshow, thank you for creating this community. I am so glad that you, a specialist in my field of interest, came to Hive.
I hope to try various things in each metaverse platform and post them as a record to this community in the future. This time I will write about how I got interested in the metaverse and what I would like to do in the future.
Me and the Metaverse
I first became interested in the Metaverse just about a year ago. Before that, I had heard of the term “metaverse,” but I had always wondered, “What's the difference between a game and a metaverse?”, “What can I do there?” .
It all started when I purchased @djynn's project SpookyPopsNFT and became interested in NFTShowroom and started buying Hive NFT by other artists. At first, I just looked at the art I purchased on my own gallery page on NFTShowroom, but gradually I began to feel that I was missing something.
I knew that the service OnCyber allows you to showcase the NFTs you own in MetaMask. So I wish Hive had such a feature... I blogged about it and @juliakponsford kindly commented.
She held a parcel (land) on the metaverse platform “Voxles” under the name NFTShowroom. She told me that if I was interested, I could freely use the parcel for a while as a collaborator! As such, I remember last winter I was crazy about it and bought art from NFTShowroom and displayed it on the parcel of Voxels that I temporarily rented from her.

I then bought a parcel in Voxles, but recently there was a period of glitches and it was not working properly. So I just built the building envelope and left it alone 😅 If you want, here is my parcel on Voxles. You don't need to log in to see it, so please take a peek.

More recently, Decentraland official ambassador @hancos and metaverse photographer @cameshow came to Hive. Both of them took advantage of our Discord voice channel to give us a tour of the metaverse, and showed us the fun of gathering and talking in the metaverse space, which until now I had only experienced quietly on my own.
I am still a novice when it comes to the Metaverse, and there is not much I can say about it, but I am very attracted to the “something” of the Metaverse. I can't quite put that “something” into words, but...
The excitement of displaying artworks in a 3D space, which until then had only been seen on a flat surface. Also, the joy of being able to jump around in the same space with @akipponn, whom I am usually unable to meet because she lives far away, during the recent Spatial tour. Can you feel it? 😅

I am sure there will be more things we can do in the Metaverse in the future.
What I want to try in the metaverse
Now, there are a few things that I myself would like to do in the Metaverse. Two of them I will share with you today.。
Recreate my grandmother's house
The first is a very personal wish: I would love to be able to reconstruct my maternal grandmother's house in the Metaverse space.
My grandmother's house, which I had always visited during long vacations since I was a little girl, was always a very lively place where my uncles, aunts, and cousins gathered. After my grandmother passed away, the house was vacant, but a few years ago it was finally sold and finally passed to someone else. It is a one-story Japanese house deep in the mountains, and I hear it is now used as a rider's house.
The house itself is still there, but now I have mixed feelings: I want to go there, but I am afraid to go there. I would be happy if I could recreate that house...not the whole house, but just the living room where my relatives used to gather and have a good time.
(Whether I have those skills or not)
Creating a space to advertise Hive
I am hoping to use the Metaverse to create a space to advertise Hive.
When I visited several worlds in Spatial and Cluster, I learned that many people are using the metaverse as a space to advertise their works and projects. Especially in Japan, I feel that the existence of Hive itself is hardly known. So I think it is a good idea to set up an advertising space in the Metaverse in order to have many people see it.
I have no idea about the content yet, but I hope to realize it by the end of 2025!
Conclusion
Other than that, I also think that my own grave would be better in the Metaverse...but more on that in the next post.
I hope to continue to learn about the Metaverse little by little and find my own ways to enjoy and utilize it.

Adminの @cameshow さん、コミュニティ作成ありがとうございます。興味のある分野のスペシャリストがHiveに来てくださり本当に嬉しいです。
今後は各メタバースプラットフォームでやってみたことなど、このコミュニティに投稿していけたらと思っています。今回は私がメタバースに興味を持ったきっかけと、今後やってみたいことについて書かせてください。
私とメタバース
私がメタバースに興味を持ったのはちょうど一年ほど前です。それ以前にも「メタバース」という言葉自体は聞いたことはあったものの、「ゲームと何が違うの？」「何ができるの？」という感じでした。
きっかけはDjynnさんのSpookyPopsNFTからNFTShowroomに興味を持ち、HiveのNFTを買い始めたことでした。最初はNFTShowroomの自分のギャラリーページで購入したアートを眺めているだけでしたが、次第に物足りなく感じるようになりました。
OnCyberというサービスで、MetaMaskに保有しているNFTを展示できることは知っていたので、Hiveにもそのような機能があったらいいのに・・・とブログに書いたところ、NFT Showroomの @juliakponsford さんがコメントをくれました。
メタバースプラットフォームの「Voxles」に、NFTShowroomのパーセル（土地）がある。もし私が興味があるなら、コラボレーターとしてしばらく土地を自由に使っていいよ、とのこと！そんな流れで昨年の年末年始は、せっせとNFTShowroomでアートを購入し、一時的にお借りしたVoxelsに飾っていた記憶があります。

さらに最近になり、Decentraland公式アンバサダーの @hancos さん、メタバースカメラマンの @cameshow さんがHiveに来てくれました。お二人ともDiscordのボイスチャンネルを活用してメタバースツアーを開催してくださり、今までは自分一人で静かに体験するだけだったメタバース空間で、集まったり、話したりする面白さを教えてもらいました。
まだまだメタバースに関しては初心者で、語れることは少ない私ですが、メタバースの「何か」にとても惹かれています。その「何か」をうまく言語化できないのですが・・・
平面で見ていたアートを3D空間に飾った時の感動だったり、先日のSpatialツアーでは、普段は物理的に遠くてなかなかお会いすることができない @akipponn さんと同じ空間でぴょんぴょん跳ねていることの嬉しさだったり。伝わります？？😅

今後、メタバースでできることはもっと増えていくんだろうな、と思っています。
私がメタバースでやってみたいこと
さて、私自身がメタバースでやりたいと思っていることはいくつかあります。そのうちの2つを今日は紹介します。
祖母の家を再現🏠
ひとつ目は超・超個人的な願いなのですが、母方の祖母の家をメタバース空間で再建できたらいいな、という思いがあります。
小さい頃から毎年、春・夏・冬休みになると必ず訪れていた祖母の家は、おじやおば、いとこたちが集まりいつも大賑わいの場所でした。祖母が亡くなり、その後は空き家となっていましたが、数年前についに売却されて遂に他人の手に渡ってしまいました。山奥にある平屋建ての日本家屋で、今はライダーハウスになっていると聞いています。
家屋自体は残っていますが、今となっては行ってみたいような行くのが怖いような・・複雑な気持ちです。あの家を・・・家丸ごとでなくても、親戚が集まってワイワイしていた口の間だけでも再現することができたら嬉しいです。
（そのスキルが私にあるかどうかはともかく）
Hiveの宣伝スペースの作成
メタバース空間を利用して、Hiveの宣伝スペースを作れたらという希望があります。
SpatialやClusterでいくつかのワールドを観て回った際、作品やプロジェクトの宣伝スペースとしてメタバース空間を利用している人がたくさんいることを知りました。Hiveは（特に日本では）その存在自体が全然知られていないと感じるので、露出を増やす意味でメタバース空間に宣伝スペースを設けるのは良いアイデアなのではないかと。
中身についてはまだノーアイデアですが、2025年中に実現できたらと考えています！
おわりに
その他にも、私は自分自身のお墓はメタバースが良いと思っていたりもするのですが・・・その話はまた次回以降に。
今後も少しずつメタバースについて学びながら、自分なりの楽しみ方、活用方法を探していけたらと思います。
