This wholesome and hearty combination brings color, taste, and a soft-yet-satisfying texture to every bite—perfect for both adults and kids alike.
Let’s see how to prepare this crispy delight, step by step!
Required Ingredients...
🍀 1 Cup of Wheat flour.
🍀 1/2 cup of Corn flour.
🍀 A boiled egg.
🍀 A finely grated carrot.
🍀 A finely grated potato.
🍀 Some finely chopped onion.
🍀 A few finely chopped curry leaves.
🍀 About two cloves of garlic, finely chopped.
🍀 Salt as needed.
🍀 1/2 teaspoon of pepper powder.
🍀 1 teaspoon crushed chili powder.
🍀 1/2 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
🍀 Coconut oil for frying.
🍀 Roasted curry powder.
🍀 2 Tablespoon of tomato sauce.
The cooking process as follows.
First, grate the hard-boiled egg finely.
Next, place a pan on the stove and add about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Once heated, add chopped garlic, onion, curry leaves, boiled potatoes, and carrots. Mix well and continue to sauté until the mixture is well-fried.
Next, add chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, roasted curry powder, and a pinch of salt to the mixture, and mix everything thoroughly once again.
Next, add the grated boiled egg and about two tablespoons of tomato sauce to the mixture and combine well.
Next, to prepare the batter for making the rolls, take a bowl and add wheat flour, rice flour, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water while mixing to create a slightly thin batter.
Next, take a pan and pour a ladleful of the prepared batter into it, spreading it evenly in a circular shape. Once it is cooked, remove it from the heat. Prepare the rest in the same way.
Next, add a portion of the prepared curry mixture onto each and roll them up as shown in the images below.
Next, take another pan and add coconut oil. Place it on the stove and allow the oil to heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the prepared egg rolls until they turn golden brown.
Whether served with a cup of plain tea or your favorite dip, these rolls make an ideal evening snack or a party-time favorite. The blend of soft vegetables and creamy egg filling wrapped in a crispy golden shell is sure to win hearts. Try this twist on a classic, and add some homemade goodness to your tea table.
Happy cooking!
