El onoto es el fruto del Achiote, y es un colorante natural que también posee beneficios para la salud; yo en esta ocasión la utilice para preparar esta receta con espaguetis y quedó delicioso. Primero coloco las semillas en aceite y las dejo por varios días hasta que el aceite quede color rojizo. De allí se le puede agregar a la comida que prefiera y dar ese colorido a la gastronomía, es utilizado mucho en los llanos venezolanos. - 1/2 kilo de espaguetis para 4 raciones, 2 tomates maduros, 1 pimentón rojo, 1 ramito de celery, onoto en aceite, sal al gusto, 1 diente de ajo, sabroseador en polvo, agua.
- 0,5 lbs of spaghetti for 4 servings, 2 ripe tomatoes, 1 red bell pepper, 1 sprig of celery, annatto in oil, salt taste, 1 clove of garlic, flavoring powder, water.

- Retiramos los espaguetis (la marca de su preferencia), lavamos y cortamos en trozos los tomates, igualmente hacemos igual con el pimentón y el celery.

- Colocamos el sartén a la cocina, al calentar agregamos una cucharadita de sal y sabroseador en polvo.

- Mezclamos, tapamos y cocinamos a fuego medio por 15 min.

- En la olla hervimos agua suficiente, añadimos una cucharadita de sal y colocamos el 1/2 kilo de espaguetis, cocinamos de 7 a 10 min.

- Colamos el agua de los espaguetis.
