The world, the machinery behind the universe is a work of art that cannot be replicated by man. There are so many aspects of science that we humans cannot dabble into, and one aspect of it is the creation of life. A living human with a being; spirit, soul and body. These aspects of impossibility despite human striving is how
we've come to reckoning with spirituality. Spirituality cannot however be explained or defined with a criterion, however the first aspect of spirituality is man coming to reckon with the possibility that the world is just a fine piece of masterclass to ever happen by mistake. Hence, spirituality is man coming to the terms that a supernatural force is responsible for the existence of the universe and hence it is our duty to reckon with this supernatural force beyond the planes of physical conditioning.
Coming to terms with the existence of divinity is another aspect of spirituality. We cannot be spiritual without believing in Divinity. One of the reasons why we believe in Divinity is because of our connections to deeper phenomenons which leads we might not have all the whole answers to. In general terms, we can say spirituality is living to reckon with things beyond the physical realm.
This is why I believe that the grassroots of spirituality is reckoning with the existence of God, a divine entity which we can connect to personally without having to make reference to religion whatsoever.
There is no way a person can be spiritually inclined without making reference to the aspect of existence of the supernatural. They must be been touched, had an encounter with a near-death experience, seen manifestation of dreams in reality or find themselves seeking for truth beyond the answers that are readily available to them.
Spirituality: A Comforting Closure
People become spiritual at a secondary level by being aware and exposed to information and knowledge that seems extraordinary to the ordinary mind. One of our biggest inclination to spirituality is us, ourselves. We're a living testimony to the divine existence of omniscient and omnipotent presence of the supernatural, and we eventually come to know this when we chose to seek for knowledge rather than living in the comfort of ignorance.
Nowadays, spirituality becomes a relief, an answer to some rhetorical questions that are dominant in real life. The world has been plagued by war, viruses, nuclear danger, famine and political instability and these are certain happening that leads people to seek for peace, harmony and fulfillment. A lot of people have set out to seek for spirituality and many have done so by embracing religion, we have so many religions nowadays because people are diversified in their attempts to know God.

Seeking For The One True God
This is why we can also say spirituality is the diverse attempts of man at finding God and getting to connect with his divine nature as an escape to the societal ills that have plagued the world. This aspect of spirituality is seeking to find answers to what is happening, why its happening that way and why it is happening the way it is. You must understand that the world itself is one giant rhetorical questions that remains unanswered till date.
Things like life and death, reincaranation, heaven and hell, life after death, nirvana or purgatory are some of the prevalent issues which no one can provide a logical explanation to. This is why one can actually say spirituality is seeking for logical explanations to supernatural phenomenon that affects people in real life. In life alone, we cannot explain things beyond logic, sometimes being spiritual is how we tend to attain closure and find peace within our shattered pieces.
A Journey Of Life
That said, spirituality is a journey, it's a process of striving to attain a higher understanding of extraterrestrial phenomena. There's no definition of spirituality that doesn't align with seeking God and understanding the the mysteries of the universe. In other words, it's a path that people consciously walk, it's a decision to be intentional. That said, no one can narrow down the aspect of spirituality to one nomenclature, it's beyond a disposition or a discipline, and wider than every aspect of religion.
Based on the experiences of people, everyone can coin their different Understanding of spirituality and this is based on the questions they've asked and the answers they've gotten. In a simpler form, we can say spirituality is all about seeking for answers, it can then be narrowed down to other aspects. We're all spiritualists in different ways, unless we haven't paid attention to it.
