WOW, some people really got so worked up here! Nice to see so many interactions on this post.
@holovision & @vlemon , I appreciate your suggestions here. However, that's not my way of playing prank. What's a prank that's so obvious? Is that even a prank!
Okay, I understand everyone has a different opinion on it. But I ain't a politician or a people pleasure. Honestly, I expected a few angry reactions and some DVs. Everyone is not in the same mindset of enjoying pranks and deriving some humour out of it. Several major April Fool campaigns by corporates attract controversy. But that's part of the game!
Although I understand your feelings, I've my own too! I'm sorry for everyone who were hurt or got offended with this post. But I'd like to add that I enjoyed writing this post.😊 (So beware of my future posts ....they could be on unpredictable lines!)
@holovision's post not getting downvoted by someone isn't a benchmark for me. But if you didn't like it or are so against it you could also downvote it. I can understand @azircon extending a DV (am happy for HIVE's price that has increased his voting power to $20!). I'm aware that @azircon has a heavy investment in CubDeFi (well, $100K is a heavy investment from my perspective, I don't know about him). So I can imagine his expression when reading this post's headline and he hastily read the whole post to finally discover that it was a prank. This is how this post was intended to work and it seems it worked perfectly for him 😂
Now how people react is up to themselves. But I consider every reaction thus far was very polite & in lighter vein including @azircon, @erikah @vlemon, @exyy and the fun-loving @ganjafarmer ...and others whom I may have missed.
Sadly, no one actually acted upon my headline! 😜😀
While writing this, I did take into account that. At worst, someone will rush to take out their assets from this platform and after realizing the folly of it will have to re-stake there. So what? It's not on Ethereum chain. On BSC, it's just a few cents per transaction. Considering the high yield on CubDeFi, I hope no one will mind that. After all, this (yet unaudited) platform is for DeFi Degens.
OK, lemme give you an example and tell me what will you do after reading it. This campaign effectively started on 31st March but a few hours here or there doesn't take any fun away from April Fool, (as some were pointing towards international time zones). This one is from one of my country's largest ecommerce retailer:
Of course, not accepting the Bitcoin actually makes the joke on them. But if you're a crypto enthusiast, wouldn't you update your mobile app (if you were unaware of April Fools' Day or date)?
P.S.:
This comment is not to start any further argument or discussion as I may not have the energy & will to comment back. I do respect your opinions and feelings but I don't feel any regrets for this post and take no guilt for it. Yes, I understand there is a fine line between being humorous & being insensitive, but every one has their own borders for that. So it's better for me to not to continue further discussion on it here.
Thank you all for reading this post and participating in the discussion!
Have a nice one!
