I'm pretty proud of what I did lately; I made a tote bag out of the cheap yarn I bought a few months ago. The prideful me did not want to watch video tutorials on how to make this bag but I wanted to learn it through trial and error and indeed, I did a lot of sewing and ripping before I finally made a bag.
Here is the 4 balls of yarn for 20 pesos that I bought a few months ago.

Bucket Hat is my first project; I was very happy with it but it turns out that I am allergic to the material and the more I wear it, the itchier it gets.
Before I decided to use the wool, I tried making the bag with the granny squares I made and ripped. I connected the squares as I sew along, lazy to sew the edges because as much as possible, I wanted to use the crochet hooks as far as I can.
But so you know, this is a trial and error job that I made, and the very first trial that I made was an error. I put on too many squares and it took me some time to realize what I did wrong. I only watched the finished product that I saw in the Facebook group. I may be prideful but along the way, I have learned so much in my trial-and-error journey. I have learned techniques that I cannot name and explain in words but I wish I could share them with you.
For my second attempt, I already used the wool yarn.
I had one square at the bottom, then I added four squares on each of its corners and I stitched and connected it on all sides!
It was such a mistake! the bag now is narrow and it's just not what I wanted it to be.
So I ripped it again and attached only the bottom of the squares. Ripping is easy year hard and I know most of you can relate to it; Crochet takes a lot of time, effort and patience and it will all be erased when we rip them.
But after much crocheting and frogging, I finally got how the bag base should be made.
Little by little, I was progressing and it filled me with joy! Finally, I am making the bag perfectly!
With each square I add, the bags grow and I am getting satisfied with my work. My success in doing the bag gave me a sense of fulfillment and each stitch I do s getting jollier compared to the start of the project. I am so excited about the outcome and my stitches getting faster
I loved the consistency of the bag too! It's not that stretchable and I am confident that I can put heavy objects in it without ruining how it looks.
But I had to stop on the photo above, I was time to go home and I could not be late. The next day, I finally finished my work and I am so happy about it.
It's got of ends to weave in and I used a smaller hook to fix them; doing so is much easier than using darning needles because ether is no need to thread them first.
Behold, the finished product
I am so proud of what I made and later that day, I was able to try how strong the bag was.
my co-workers bought a huge watermelon and only half of it was consumed so I took home the other half and fortunately, I had the bag with me. Perfect!
Lately, I had been discouraged with my crochet. I don't have sales and I am thinking I am not as good as other crocheters do. I once made crochet tops but only a few would sell and I could not dare wear them to advertise my work. I tried making flowers last February but they did not sell. I don't have a physical store and I don't do online selling so well. There's too much to do and too much to learn in doing that but I am hoping one day I will get there. For now, I will just practice and learn, and eventually earn so I could buy better quality of yarns and accessories.
This will be all for today, I hope you all, my fellow needle workers are having a great time sewing and threading and needling!
