Challenge to Gabo is a section I've had on my blog for some time now, where I invite Hive users to challenge me to make a figure, be it from a series, movie, anime, or any character they like.
The point is to try to complete those cool challenges that some of them propose. It is worth mentioning that as a reward for the good idea proposed by the challenger, I usually give him/her a percentage of the profits of my publication. This time the challenge was to make a Pikachu, I hope you like it.

As you can see in the images, the Pikachu is not like any Pikachu, no; it is a Pikachu with a cap. Why with a cap? Because the character is precisely taken from the movie Detective Pikachu, it was a movie I saw recently and I took from there the inspiration to make it.
In advance I thank Mr. @neruel for the great idea for this challenge. When the publication meets its time, he will receive a small reward for his idea.
Step by step
To start with the figurine I made a base where it could stand. I used a large piece of polystyrene and on it I cut a wooden stick that would serve as a support for the body of the character; on the other hand, I cut additional small pieces of polystyrene for the body and head of the pikachu.
I covered the polystyrene pieces I mentioned with yellow plasticine, an intense yellow to make the Pikachu stand out. As you can see in the image below, after covering the polystyrene pieces, I molded them into a shape similar to Pikachu's torso and head.
Later I joined both parts and smoothed the joints between the neck and torso:

After completely molding the torso and shaping the head of the pokemon, I started to make both the arms and the little feet, or paws, as you prefer to call them.
Below you can see all the pieces before being incorporated into the body of the character:
If you remember, in the Detective Pikachu movie, the character is given fur, which makes sense because it's a Live-Action version of Pikachu. For this reason, I wanted to make him a texture that simulates fur, so I started making small lines along his body, one by one, next to each other.
Before finishing all the fur textures, I put the ears in place and continued making the lines with a wooden stick.

The next thing I did was the tail. Pikachu has a very characteristic tail, so to achieve this peculiar shape, I cut a piece of wire and bent it to the desired shape, then I covered it with plasticine, and then I applied the same texture that I had given to Pikachu's body but on the tail.
You can see in the following images the three pieces before being assembled, and then the character completely assembled.

Finally, it was time to paint. For the back of the Pikachu, I used brown paint, and painted the base of the tail and some lines on the back; for the face, I used black and red for the ears and cheeks respectively.

The last thing I did, as a characteristic detail of the character in the movie, was the cap. I didn't make it with the same textures as in the movie, but at least I gave it a grayish color.

Challenge to Gabo es una sección que llevo en mi blog desde hace tiempo, donde invito a los mismos usuarios de Hive a retarme a hacer alguna figura, sea de alguna serie, película, animé o cualquier personaje que les guste.
El punto es tratar de completar esos retos tan geniales que algunos proponen. Cabe destacar, que a manera de recompensa, por la buena idea que propone el retador, acostumbro a otorgarle un porcentaje de las ganancias de mi publicación. En esta ocasión el reto fue hacer un Pikachu, espero que les guste.

Como pueden observar en las imágenes, el pikachu no es como cualquier pikachu, no; es un pikachu con una gorra. ¿Por qué con una gorra? Porque el personaje es precisamente tomado de la película Detective Pikachu, fue una película que vi hace poco y tomé de allí la inspiración para hacerlo.
De antemano agradezco al señor @neruel por la genial idea para este reto. Cuando la publicación cumpla su tiempo, recibirá una pequeña recompensa por su idea.
Paso a paso
Para comenzar con la figurita le hice una base en donde pudiera estar. Usé un trozo grande de poliestireno y sobre este pegué un palillo de madera que serviría como soporte para el cuerpo del personaje; por otro lado, corté pequeños trozos adicionales de poliestireno para el cuerpo y la cabeza del pikachu.
Los trozos de poliestireno que les mencioné los cubrí con plastilina amarilla, un amarillo intenso para que resalte el pikachu. Como pueden ver en la imagen de abajo, tras cubrir los trozos de poliestireno los moldeé hasta darle una forma similar al torso y la cabeza de pikachu.
Posteriormente uní ambas partes y suavicé las uniones entre el cuello y el torso:

Después de moldear completamente el torso y darle forma a la cabeza del pokemon, comencé a hacer tanto los brazos como los piecitos, o patitas, como prefieran llamarlos.
A continuación pueden ver todas las piezas antes de incorporarse al cuerpo del personaje:
Si hacen memoria, en la película de detective Pikachu, al personaje se le hace un pelaje, lo cual cobra sentido pues es una versión Live-Action de Pikachu. Por este motivo quise hacerle una textura que simulara pelaje, por ello comencé a hacer pequeñas líneas a lo largo de su cuerpo, una por una, una al lado de la otra.
Antes de terminar toda la textura del pelaje, le coloqué las orejas en su lugar y continué haciendo las líneas con un palillo de madera.

Lo siguiete que hice fue la cola. Pikachu tiene una cola muy característica, así que para lograr esta forma tan peculiar, corté un trozo de alambre y lo doblé hasta darle la forma deseada, luego lo cubrí con plastilina y entonces apliqué la misma textura que había dado en el cuerpo de Pikachu pero en la cola.
Pueden visualziar en las siguientes imágenes las tres piezas antes de armarse, y luego al personaje armado por completo.

Finalmente llegó la hora del pintado. Para la parte trasera del Pikachu usé pintura marrón, pinté la base de la cola y unas líneas en la espalda; para la cara usé negro y rojo para las orejas y para las mejillas respectivamente.

Lo último que hice, como detalle característico del personaje en la película, fue la gorra. No la hice con las mismas texturas que en la película, pero al menos le dí un color grisáceo.
De esta manera quedó terminada la figurita. Los dejo con una serie de fotografías del personaje terminado:
