(D) Die Brücke **Ponte 25 de Abril" in Lissabon ist weltweit die drittlängste Hängebrücke, welche den Strassen-/und Schienenverkehr kombiniert. Auch die Ähnlichkeit mit der Bay Bridge in San Francisco kommt nicht von ungefähr, da sich Lissabon bei der Ausschreibung des Projektes für die American Bridge Company entschieden hat. Aufgenommen habe ich das Bild während eines Spazierganges am Flusse Tejo entlang.
(ENG) The "Ponte 25 de Abril" bridge in Lisbon is the third longest suspension bridge in the world that combines road and rail transport. The resemblance to the Bay Bridge in San Francisco is no coincidence, as Lisbon opted for the American Bridge Company when the project was put out to tender. I took this picture during a walk along the River Tagus.
