In this week's Social Media Challenge, I'd like to bring our attention to a relatively recent addition to the Water Splinter, which has been introduced as part of the Soulbound Reward Cards collection: NOA THE JUST
👀
NOA THE JUST
is among the favored support units found within the Water Splinter. Despite its absence of offensive attributes, it boasts numerous abilities that hold substantial utility in battles, and when employed with strategic finesse, can potentially sway the outcome in your favor. Acquiring this Epic Soulbound Reward card may be difficult, but its full potential becomes evident when it reaches its maximum level! 😜

NOA THE JUST
in such battles, which will significantly elevate your odds of securing victory! 😉

The Battle
While fulfilling my responsibilities in the Splinterlands scholarship account I have with Balthazar, bltzr-wizard-729, I was able engage in a battle that showcased the impressive capabilities of using the NOA THE JUST
, in particular the RUST
ability. To get right into the action, the battle link can be found here. Otherwise, do read on as I go into more detail regarding the lineup and fight.

Now, let's dive into the rulesets that shape this battle. It's an exceptionally straightforward contest, governed by a solitary ruleset - the Ferocity ruleset. This ruleset grants all units with the Fury ability which does double damages to any unit that possess the Taunt ability. The battle enforces a mana limit of 34 and allows the use of the all Splinters.

Summoner, Kelya Frendul
With no limitations on Splinter selection, the decision-making process became quite challenging for me. Ultimately, I opted for the Water Splinter and chose Kelya Frendul as my Summoner. I firmly believe that the Water Splinter offers a well-rounded units suitable for various battles, making it an ideal choice when battling in an open ruleset. The advantageous buffs it provides, including +1 Speed and +1 Armor, are generally favorable in most battle scenarios! 😉

First Position, Baakjira
Baakjira is unquestionably the top choice for tanking, especially in the competitive Diamond and Champions League! I've made the strategic decision to deploy it as my primary tank, creating a thriving environment for my backline units. Baakjira brings to the table an impressive arsenal of abilities, encompassing buffs and debuffs such as Slow and Strengthen. Moreover, its Void ability effectively reduces incoming magic damage, and is bolstered by its Healing capability! 😇

Second Position, Kulu Mastermind
I positioned Kulu Mastermind as the backup tank in my lineup, prepared to take over should Baakjira fall in battle. This arrangement also ensures the efficient use of Kulu Mastermind's Weapons Training ability, bestowing half of its Melee attack on Baakjira. Additionally, the inclusion of Kulu Mastermind was primarily driven by the significant utility offered by its valuable Opportunity ability! ✌️

Third Position, Chaos Agent
Chaos Agent earned a spot in my lineup primarily because of the mana limitations that came into play after selecting the core members for my battle strategy. Placing Chaos Agent in the center of the lineup to divert enemy attacks, particularly those involving Snipe or Opportunity abilities. Its Dodge and Phase abilities, enhancing its odds of dodging incoming enemy strikes. Furthermore, its Backfire ability allows it to inflict 2 Melee damage on opponents when they fail to land their attacks! 😆

Fourth Position, Deeplurker
Incorporating the Deeplurker into my lineup when employing the Water Splinter is practically an automatic decision. This creature wields immense power with its Opportunity ability, promptly dispatching the opponent's most susceptible target. Moreover, the Deeplurker has the capacity to inflict Poison on its target.. Alongside its formidable offensive capabilities, it also possesses the Demoralize ability that imposes a -1 Melee attack debuff on the opposing team 😎

Fifth Position, Pelacor Bandit
Pelacor Bandit shines as an outstanding budget-friendly monster within the game. Priced at a mere 3 mana, it showcases impressive statistics with 4 Melee attack, 6 Speed, and 5 Health. The Flying ability, increases its evasion rate when up against both Melee and Ranged attackers. Furthermore, its Sneak ability becomes a priceless asset within the team compositions, enabling it to swiftly eliminate vulnerable enemy backline units! 😍

Last Position, Noa The Just
Allow me to present today's highlighted character, NOA THE JUST
! As previously mentioned, it's a bit disappointing that I still have a long way before reaching Level 6 to unlock its complete potential, which includes two additional abilities: Backfire and Martyr. Nevertheless, this monster continues to hold its own in terms of strength. Its Dodge ability grants an impressive +25% evasion chance against both Melee and Ranged attacks. Furthermore, it comes equipped with the RUST
ability, which immediately strips 2 Armor from the enemy team at the start of the battle! 😵
The Analysis

In this encounter governed by the Ferocity ruleset, where monsters with the Taunt ability endure double damage, it's evident that both my opponent and I opted not to field such units. With the availability of all Splinters, I foresaw my opponent's inclination to bolster their team's defenses in the absence of a "Taunt" monster. As expected, my opponent selected the Lux Vega Summoner, which bestows the entire lineup with a +1 Speed, Health, and Armor — a notable upgrade compared to my Summoner, Kelya Frendul, albeit with that additional +1 Health 😓
However, my opponent didn't anticipate encountering a team that willingly sacrificed several lineup slots typically dedicated to offensive threats in favor of bolstering defensive capabilities. My team composition, featuring Baakjira as the tank, proved almost impenetrable, even when facing off against the enemy's Diemonshark and Flying Squid. Chaos Agent adeptly drew the enemy's Deeplurker attacks, while NOA THE JUST
effectively shielded the backline from Sneak attacks by the Pelacor Bandit, thanks to its high Armor stats and Dodge ability! 🤗
Furthermore, by utilizing NOA THE JUST
RUST
ability to strip the enemy team of their Armor, it laid the groundwork for my team's three designated attackers to wreak havoc. Devoid of their Armor buffer, which typically absorbs attacks, most of the enemy's units swiftly fell to just one or two strikes. The game was decisively won, all thanks to the unassuming yet pivotal RUST
ability possessed by NOA THE JUST
💪
