Based on the presently available information, the introduction of Rebellion brings forth a plethora of new elements to the game. As is customary with any new release, acclimating to the inclusion of new Monster cards necessitates some time as it shifts the dynamics of battles. However, beyond these new Monster cards, there are also forthcoming introductions such as New Abilities, Multi-Element Summoners, and Summoner Tactics. Here's a quick overview of some of these changes.
New Abilities

Multi-Element Summoners & Summoner Tactics

To be honest, grappling with the simultaneous introduction of all these modifications can be rather daunting. Therefore, the arrival of Rebellion is sure to bring about a substantial transformation in the way battles are waged, potentially rendering our established strategies less effective 😕
Ability Focus
Without any delay, let's jump right into the subject I want to dive into for this week's Social Media Challenge post, which is presented in a fresh format, focusing on the imminent arrival of the Rebellion edition. This post will primarily revolve around the LOOKOUT
ability among the four newly introduced abilities!

LOOKOUT
As outlined in Splinterlands' official information, the LOOKOUT
ability functions in a distinctive way. A unit possessing this ability offers the advantage of reducing the damage received by adjacent allies when attacked by foes with Sneak, Snipe, or Opportunity. Essentially, it serves as an early warning system, alerting your team to potential threats lurking in the shadows. It's a smart move to have the LOOKOUT
ability to keep your allies safe and prepared for such stealthy attackers!
Here are some of the obvious traits that this ability would have:
Lookout is a passive ability that would be activated when the adjacent Monster are being attacked by opposition abilities such as Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity
Lookout ability could be activated regardless of the Monster's position in the lineup
Lookout ability when activated would reduce one damage received by adjacent Monsters
LOOKOUT
ability would be rendered useless when the Fog Of War ruleset is in play

The incorporation of the LOOKOUT
ability serves as a primarily defensive strategy, enhancing the lineup's resilience. By strategically positioning a Monster with this ability at different positions in your lineup, you can predict and counter the opponent's attack setups, ultimately creating a strong defensive front to outsmart your opponent.
LOOKOUT
ability and can further weaken your opponent's attacks, making them less impactful.

LOOKOUT
ability, any damage caused by Monsters possessing Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity abilities would be further diminished, essentially rendering them inconsequential! 😤Battle Scenario
LOOKOUT
ability. Assuming that the battle adheres to the following rulesets:

on either team with the highest base Health
Considering my current understanding of the LOOKOUT
ability, I'm aware of a Soulbound Reward Monster that could immensely profit from it. Players have the opportunity to strategically configure their team to harness this potential battle scenario fully.

The Soulbound Reward Monster that I'm referring to is the Dumacke Orc, a Soulbound Reward Monster hailing from the Neutral Splinter. Its arsenal of abilities, comprising Shield, Retaliate, and Thorns, makes it a force to be reckoned with, especially in battles governed by the Up Close & Personal ruleset. In addition, when combined with the Super Sneak and Equalizer rulesets, players have the strategic option to place Dumacke Orc as their last unit in the lineup and pair it with a Monster possessing the LOOKOUT
ability in the second-to-last position.
Assuming you also have the Demoralize ability in your lineup, all Sneaking Melee Monsters will experience damage reductions from both the Demoralize and LOOKOUT
abilities. Additionally, Dumacke Orc's Shield ability further mitigates Melee damage. While benefiting from these reductions, Dumacke Orc can unleash counterattacks with its Retaliate and Thorns abilities, turning it into an almost invincible force when the right conditions align in this particular battle scenario!
What do you guys think about the LOOKOUT
ability? Am I understanding it correctly? 😅
