This card is best known for his high health with low mana - 4 mana gives us 2 attack, 1 speed and 6 life. In my experience this is a supporting character to pick up a few hits before the enemy gets to the glass cannons. On level 4 it gets Void, making it a great choice against magic heavy teams paired with Owster Rotwell.
Unfortunately it is often replaced with Haunted Spirit, which for 5 Mana ha 2 attack, 2 speed, 7 health and even healing. On higher levels it even gets magic reflect and void shield making Animated Corpse almost completely obsolete.
Almost, as this card can still be used in the Little League ruleset!
Battle
My fight was about survival, as we played in the Toxic Fumes ruleset. My strategy was to have a heavy ranged hitter in the back, a healer before him and a few meatshields in the front. As Animated Corpse has only 1 speed it is often a good idea to put a Cursed slimeball in front of hit, to pick up the first hit. In this case 3 damage was spent on a 1 damage card, which came in handy.
Toxic Fumes ruleset can be best won by hittin' hard, or healin' and chillin'. My strategy was something from both, and that is why I put the already mentioned Haunted spirit on the third place.
In this rules from the started deck Cerberus and Water elemental can do the trick as well. Look out also for cards with the Immune ability, which are not affected by poison.
So damage was dealt, chilling was done, game was one! Enjoy!
