Introduction

New week new rule set deep dive, this week we are going to look at Even Stevens. Not a very difficult rule set you can only select monsters with even mana costs.
I think this will be a shorter post because of the lack of special synergies or tactics. Hope to also read other strategies post that surprises me.

Ruleset

Only monsters with even mana costs may be used.

This rule does not apply to summoners.

Abilities Synergies

This is not a rule set that has extra benefits certain abilities or other rule sets that synergies well, or worse in that matter 🤣.

Strategies

Preferred teams

Really depended on other factors like:

Other rulesets
Mana cap
What you opponent is often playing
What cards and level do you own/rent

Here are some setups that I like to play. Viewed with the levels and stats that I own.

Strong team with range debuff and some magic resistence.

One of my favorite water teams only missing the healer because of the even stevens rule set.

A nice strong dragon team when there is a high mana cap.

Avoid

No specific avoids I can think of. This is where i wander is some other strategy posts will bring me new insights.

Strategy

I hate the silence summoner rule set all nice benefits for all monster are gone, only their own abilities. Not a very high mana so I think I will do something different this time.
So it is not my favorite setup 😁. Als important to deviate sometimes when it fits the situation.

Rulesets

Silenced Summoners:
Summoners buff and debuff are disables. Monster abilities still are available

Stampede:
All monsters will gain the trample ability.

Even Stevens:
Rule set of this week only even mana cost monster may be selected.

The Lineup

Summoner

Card	Reason
	in this case it does not really matter which summoner is select only the team will important lux and kelya are harder punnished because of the extra shields and health.

Monsters Lineup

Gargoya Lion (lvl 10)
Void with a nice health, and still a very cheap monster max level 3.5$

Antoid Platoon (lvl 10)
With its scavenger it destined to stay alive for a while

Scavo Chemist (lvl 10)
Buffer for the ranged monster now it is maxed level it has slow and headwind which makes it more usefull.

Molten Ash Golem (lvl 8)
First damage dealer with high health and demoralize even when this monster gets in the front it still can hit with his close ranged

Countess Sinash (lvl 4)
Important monster in this lineup. With 4 damage and blast and opportunity this should be the killer

Scorch Fiend (lvl 2)
Meat shield to protect my Countess Sinash from any sneak attack monster

Rounds

Start :

Nice to see a line up that I normally would have chosen, except the Doctor Blight because I do not own him. It was a bit expected because my opponent has chosen water often before.
The poison of Doctor Blight my be cleansed by my Scavo Chemist. This would also have been a nice battle for the cleanse ability post I just have written a day before this.

Round 1:

Direct hit on Igor Darkspear and a instant kill. My meat shield has protected my backline. Forgot about that Countess Sinash has camouflage so it cannot be targeted.

Round 2:

That trample of the Diemonshark hurts but still looking good.
again my front line tank, Antoid Platoon, directly got poisoned by Doctor Blight another change for the Scavo Chemist can try to cleanse it again.

Round 3:

Cleansed and poisoned again so first poison damage and the cleanse then poisoned again not how i like to see it 🤣.
Just two more monsters.

Round 4:

Last round.

Conclusion

Nice to see sometimes you need to overcome your own 'tunnel vision' and adapt to the situation and rule sets. For writing a weekly challenge this was not the most exciting rule set, still hope you enjoyed reading my battle report and teams i would select with this rule set.
