What's up Splinterfam! We're back with another installment reviewing the new Rebellion reward cards for this social media challenge. We recently reached Gold League I and by opening our chests we continue to accumulate reward cards, merits and potions. All of this is important in view of the imminent release of the new edition of cards that will be released in the first quarter of this year.

Recientemente llegamos a la liga de oro I y abriendo nuestro cofres seguimos acumulando cartas rewards, méritos y pociones. Todo esto es importante de cara a la inminente salida de la nueva edición de cartas que saldrá el primer trimestre de este año.
Changes to Water Splinter for the Modern Format/Cambios en el Splinter de agua para el formato moderno
On this occasion we are going to explore the 2 rare reward cards that are Razorhound and Commander Slader. The first is a range attack card with almost fixed statistics throughout its levels so I think its purpose is to serve mainly as support, since its damage and speed are really mediocre. While on the other hand we have a melee attack tank focused on damage evasion and affliction, I see a lot of potential in this card as a substitute for Diemonshark.
En esta ocasión vamos a explorar las 2 cartas raras rewards que son Razorhound y Commander Slader. La primera es una carta de ataque rango con estadísticas casi fija a lo largo de sus niveles por lo que pienso que si propósito es servir principalmente de apoyo, ya que su daño y velocidad son realmente mediocres. Mientras que por el otro lado tenemos un tanque de ataque melé enfocado a la evasión y aflicción del daño, esta carta le veo mucho potencial como sustituto de Diemonshark.

My interest in these new water cards is to determine if this is still the most versatile class when it comes to battles. Throughout Chaos Legion, the Kelya Frendul/Diemonshark duo remains one of the most effective when it comes to low to medium mana battles, and I'm interested in knowing if these new cards keep its dominance intact. Mi interés en estas nuevas carta de agua es para determinar si esta sigue siendo la clase con mayor versatilidad a la hora de las batallas, durante toda Chaos Legion el binomio Kelya Frendul/Diemonshark sigue siendo de las más efectivas a la hora de batallas de mana bajo a intermedio y me interesa saber si con estas nuevas cartas su dominio sigue intacto. ⚔️1st Battle/1era Batalla: Razorhound Support Range Unit⚔️

We will start with the first rare water class card Razorhound in this battle, which offers us a wide mana limit so we can use high cost cards but only if they are odd, and finally the ruleset scattershot and stampede are present. Therefore, our strategy will be to focus units with high melee damage in the first 2 positions and increase the maximum life of the entire lineup, and that is where this reward card will be useful.
Comenzaremos con la primera carta rewad rara de la clase agua Razorhound en esta batalla que nos ofrece un amplio límite de mana por lo que podremos usar cartas de gran coste pero solo que sean impares y por último esta presente las ruleset scattershot y stampede. Por tanto, nuestra estrategia será será enfocar unidades con gran daño melé en las 2 primeras posiciones e incrementar la vida máxima de toda la alineación y es alli donde esta carta reward nos será de utilidad.

🧙 Summoner/ Invocador: Possibilus the Wise
Trample
Our splinter will be of the water class and the summoner that best adapts to this battle is Possibilus the Wise, he gives us the trample ability to all our melee units so that when eliminating a target and activating the trample it can do so indefinitely. The second aspect increases the maximum life of our entire lineup so when starting the scattershot skirmishes we will be able to withstand several ranged or magic attacks.
Nuestro splinter será de la clase agua y el invocador que mejor se adapta a esta batalla es Possibilus the Wise, nos confiere la habilidad trample a todas nuestras unidades melé por lo que al eliminar un objetivo y activar el trample puede hacerlo de forma indefinida. El segundo aspecto que aumenta la vida máxima de toda nuestra alineación por lo que al comenzar las escaramuzas del scattershot podremos soportar varios ataques rango o mágicos.

Our offensive spearhead will be Legionnaire Alvar & Flying Squid, the tank has a huge amount of defense and now with Possibilus also a significant amount of health, which ensures us a solid tank that with its Giant Killer ability can deal with high mana cost tanks that are usually used in these battles and its complement in the second position also has a huge amount of health and good damage, but also has the Blind ability reducing the enemy's effectiveness to hit its target.

Kulu Mastermind is a powerful melee unit that can demolish the enemy's secondary row and activate the trample since it has the Opportunity ability, the reason for placing it in the third position is in case the tank is knocked down this unit would be placed in the second position and can attack the vanguard because it has the Reach ability.
Kulu Mastermind es una potente unidad melé que puede demoler la fila secundaria enemiga y activar el trample ya que tiene la habilidad Opportunity, la razón de ubicarlo en la tercera posición es en caso de que el tanque sea derribado esta unidad se ubicaría en la segunda posición y puede atacar la vanguardia por tener la habilidad reach.

At first I didn't understand the usefulness of this card, its damage is too low and becomes significant only at level 7, so in the gold league you could take advantage of it if you have a level 5 epic summoner. Its speed also seems to be a disadvantage because it is set to 2, which is not enough for quick battles and is too inconvenient in games with reverse speed. However, the advantage of this card is that it can serve as support with its Strengthen ability, which increases the maximum life of the entire team by +1, which will help us in this battle with scattershot.
En un primer momento no entendía la utilidad de esta carta, un daño demasiado bajo que llega a ser significativo solo en nivel 7 por lo que en la liga de oro podrías aprovecharla si tienes un invocador épico nivel 5. Su velocidad también parece ser una desventaja porque se encuentra fijada 2 insuficiente para batallas rápidas y demasiado inconveniente en partidas con velocidad inversa. Sin embargo la ventaja de esta carta es que puede servir de apoyo con su habilidad Strengthen que incrementa en +1 la vida máxima de todo el equipo, lo que nos ayudará en esta batalla con scattershot.

Nerissa Tridawn is in short pure damage, this unit takes full advantage of these battle rules, it has a huge amount of life and exceptional magic damage that will allow us to significantly weaken the unit that randomly receives its attack.
Nerissa Tridawn es en resumen puro daño, esta unidad aprovecha completamente estas reglas de batalla tiene una enorme cantidad de vida y un daño mágico excepcional que nos permitirá debilitar significativamente a la unidad que al azar reciba su ataque.
🎴 Swamp Spitter
With Swamp Spitter we have 2 important elements: Damage to attack units randomly and also support since this unit can repair allied shields, ideal for maintaining the defenses of our tank or the units of the secondary row.
Con Swamp Spitter tenemos 2 elementos importantes: Daño para atacar unidades aleatoriamente y también apoyo ya que esta unidad puede reparar los escudos aliados, ideal para mantener las defensas de nuestro tanque o de las unidades de la fila secundaria.

🔥 Rounds 1 & 2
In the first round there were no casualties, but the units in the secondary row began to weaken due to the skirmish of random attacks. Our tank withstood most of the most powerful attacks thanks to his shield. It was in the second round that the first casualties began. The first was our Razerhound, who until now had played his role as support, giving us enough time to weaken and eliminate 2 crucial cards: Jenni Rebel, who increased damage, and Djinn Revona, who heals the units in the secondary row.
En el primer round no se registraron bajas pero si comenzaron a debilitarse las unidades de la fila secundaria por la escaramuza de los ataques aleatorios, nuestro tanque soportó la mayoría de los ataques más poderosos gracias a su escudo. Es en el segundo round que comienzan las primeras bajas, el primero fue nuestro Razerhound que hasta aquí cumplió su papel de apoyo, nos dio el tiempo suficiente para debilitar y eliminar 2 cartas cruciales: Jenni Rebel que aumentaba el daño y a Djinn Revona que sana las unidades en la fila secundaria.
🔥 Rounds 3-5
The next to fall for the 3rd round is Portal Spinner a dangerous unit with scattershot that can do up to 5 range damage. In the 4th round we eliminated Drybone Barbarian thanks to the Giant Killer ability of our tank that weakened him significantly, while Iziar was the second unit to fall at the hands of Sawmp Spitter who also has the Giant Killer ability, this leaves our opponent unarmed who is left only with War Pegasus unable to do anything and gives us the victory. A fairly successful battle, as we only lost one unit. Next battle!
El siguiente en caer para el 3er round es Portal Spinner una peligrosa unidad con scattershot que llega a tener hasta 5 de daño rango. El 4to round eliminamos Drybone Barbarian gracias a la habilidad Giant Killer de nuestro tanque que lo debilitó significativamente, mientras que Iziar fue la segunda unidad en caer a manos de Sawmp Spitter que también cuenta con la habilidad Giant Killer, esto deja desarmado a nuestro oponente que solo queda con War Pegasus sin poder hacer nada y entrega la victoria. Una batalla bastante solvente ya que solo perdimos 1 sola unidad. Siguiente batalla!

Well friends, this second battle is Prime time!!! We put Commander Slader to the test, in a previous post I had predicted that this card was destined to be the spiritual successor of Diemonshark when Chaos Legion went wild and what a way I had to prove it! Facing the powerful promotional card Heloise the Hollow. In the history before assembling my team I saw that the user was using this card constantly so I prepared a lineup to be able to face it. I will explain it to you below.
Bien amigos, esta segunda batalla es el Prime time!!! Pusimos a prueba a Commander Slader, en un post anterior había predicho que esta carta estaba destinada a ser el sucesor espiritual de Diemonshark cuando Chaos legion pasara a wild y vaya manera que tuve para demostarlo! Enfrentando a la poderosa carta promocional Heloise the Hollow. En el historial antes de armar mi equipo vi que el usuario estaba usando esta carta constantemente así que preparé una alineación para poder enfrentarla. A continuación te la explico.

🎴 Summoner/ Invocador: Possibilus the Wise
We will once again use Possibilus the Wise to focus on a strategy of mainly demolishing the enemy vanguard as soon as possible and putting Heloise in the first position before she does irreparable damage to us and second to increase the life of our lineup since the damage that this promotional card does is terrible so the more maximum life we increase the better!
Nuevamente usaremos a Possibilus the Wise para enfocarlo en una estrategia de demoler principalmente la vanguardia enemiga lo más pronto posible y poner a Heloise en la primera posición antes que nos haga un daño irreparable y segundo para aumentar la vida de nuestra alineación ya que el daño que hace esa carta promocional es terrible así que mientras más vida máxima aumentemos mejor!
🎴 Commander Slade
While the Diemonshark card was focused on a more offensive perspective, the Commander Slader card has a more perspective towards evasion and affliction of the enemy. Its Dodge ability adds 30% evasion which complements it with a high speed and second is that it has the new Enfeeble ability that subtracts -1 damage with each successful hit on the target. This will be our bet for our vanguard.
Mientras la carta Diemonshark estaba enfocado a una perspectiva más ofensiva, la carta Commander Slader tiene una perspectiva más hacia la evasión y aflicción del enemigo. Su habilidad Dodge le suma un 30% de evasión lo que complementa con una alta velocidad y segundo es que tiene la nueva habilidad Enfeeble que le resta -1 al daño con cada golpe exitoso sobre el objetivo. Esta será nuestra apuesta para nuestra vanguardia.
🎴 Coastal Sentry
Slader's companion has to be a card with high damage output and the best candidate is Coastal Sentry, a card with the Double Strike ability and the Reach ability granted by the summoner, we have a real artillery in our second position.
El acompañante de Slader tiene que ser una carta con altas cotas de daño y el mejor candidato es Coastal Sentry, una carta con la habilidad Double Strike con la habilidad Reach que le confiere el invocador tenemos una verdadera artillería en nuestra segunda posición.

En batallas de este nivel es muy frecuente que el oponente reduzca el daño de nuestro equipo, para evitar eso y mantener un daño alto en nuestro equipo, usaremos a River Hellondale, esta unidad mágica no sólo tiene la capacidad de revivir a un aliado, sino que también puede aumentar el daño melé en +1 a toda nuestra alineación, la ubicaremos en la 3era posición para resguardarla de ataques en la retaguardia.
Supply Runner & Swamp Spiter

Supply Runner & Swamp Spitter are cards that have very good damage and serve to continue the work of crushing the enemy vanguard's defenses, but these 2 cards have very important support abilities, Supply has the Swiftness ability that adds +1 to the speed of the entire team while Swamp Spitter repairs allied defenses, making it difficult for enemy attacks to be effective.
Supply Runner & Swamp Spitter son cartas que tienen un muy buen daño y sirven para continuar la labor de aplastar las defensas de la vanguardia enemiga, pero estas 2 cartas tienen habilidades de apoyo muy importantes, Supply tiene la habilidad Swiftness que agrega +1 a la velocidad de todo el equipo mientras que Swamp Spitter repara las defensas aliadas dificultando la efectividad de los ataques enemigos.
Coeurl Lurker
Coeurl Lurker will be our decoy, his high evasion rate from both melee, range and magic attacks will give us the time needed to begin obliterating the enemy vanguard. If we are lucky enough we will get the time needed to finish off the cards that will be protecting Heloise.
Coeurl Lurker será nuestro señuelo, su alta tasa de evasión tanto de ataques melé, rango como mágicos nos dará el tiempo necesario para comenzar a obliterar la vanguardia enemiga. Si tenemos suficiente suerte conseguiremos el tiempo necesario para acabar con las cartas que estarán protegiendo a Heloise.

🔥 Rounds 1 & 2
Soul Siphon
In this battle there is the ruleset born again so all units can revive once again, so this battle will be long, starting with the fact that in this 1st round we lost Coeurl for the first time but we already eliminated Grund for the first time and weakened Bramble Pixie. The second round is when the battle becomes interesting, we eliminate Heoise for the first time but when this card dies it unleashes a final punishing attack that eliminated our Runner supply for the first time, in the meantime we have definitively eliminated Grund and we finish off Bramble for the first time and Coastal Sentry finishes him off along with Heoise for the second time, his punishing attack affects us but does not eliminate us. Up to this point we have achieved the most important thing, dragging Heloise out of her comfort zone and having her in the vanguard.
En esta batalla esta la ruleset born again por lo que todas las unidades pueden revivir una vez más, así que esta batalla será larga, empezando porque en este 1er round perdimos pro primera vez a Coeurl pero nosotros ya eliminamos por 1era vez a Grund y debilitado a Bramble Pixie. El segundo round es cuando se vuelve interesante la batalla, eliminamos por 1era vez a Heoise pero al morir esta carta desata un último ataque de castigo que eliminó a nuestro Runner supply por 1era vez, mientras tanto ya eliminamos definitivamente a Grund y acabamos por 1era vez a Bramble y Coastal Sentry lo termina de despachar junto a Heoise por segunda vez, su ataque de castigo nos afecta pero no nos elimina. Hasta aquí logramos lo más importante arrastrar a Heloise de su zona de comfort y tenerla en la vanguardia.
🔥 Rounds 3 & 4
The great danger of Heloise is her ability Siphon Soul that as long as there are allies in the lineup she can come back to life, the damage of this card and her abilities allow her to virtually take care of the entire enemy lineup, so it is indifferent if when she comes back to life, this card applies Weary to a random ally. That's why it's crucial to get her to the first position and eliminate her quickly, we achieved that in the 3rd round, it's important to highlight the importance of the first 2 units having a shield to receive the punishing damage that this card executes when dying. Thus, Runemancer Florre was the next card to be dispatched and by the 4th round Goblin Spychic was quickly dispatched and now Ancient Redwood only has to watch as he is sacrificed twice without being able to do anything. As you can see, experience made the difference, my veteran title was not a simple whim. Victory against all odds!
El gran peligro de Heloise es su habilidad Siphon Soul que mientras haya aliados en la alineación puede volver a la vida, el daño de esta carta y sus habilidades le permite virtualmente encargarse de toda la alineación enemiga, así que es indiferente si al volver a la vida, esta carta le aplica Weary a un aliado aleatorio. Por eso es crucial llevarla a la primera posición y eliminarla rápidamente, eso lo logramos en el 3er round importante destacar la importancia que las 2 primeras unidades tengan escudo para recibir el daño de castigo que ejecuta esta carta al morir. Así, Runemancer Florre fue la siguiente carta en ser despachada y para el 4to round Goblin Spychic es rápidamente despachado y ya Ancient Redwood solo le queda ver como es sacrificado 2 veces sin poder hacer nada. Como pueden ver la experiencia hizo la diferencia, mi título de veterano no fue un simple capricho. Victoria contra todo pronóstico!
🐟Conclusiones💧
- Razorhound has good performances as a support card but clearly I need to raise it several levels to take better advantage of it. On the other hand, Commander Slader at level 4 has proven to be a highly competent card against a lineup of cards at the maximum including a powerful promotional card! Imagine what this card would be capable of at level 7 or 8.
- Razorhound tiene buenas prestaciones como una carta de apoyo pero claramente me falta subirla varios niveles para aprovecharla mejor. En cambio Commander Slader en nivel 4 ha demostrado ser una carta altamente competente contra una alineación de cartas al máximo incluyendo una potente carta promocional! Imagínense de lo que sería capaz esta carta en nivel 7 u 8.
