Have you ever wondered what happens when an entire world is shaped by magic, and its inhabitants not only live but breathe the elements that surround them? In Splinterlands, there’s always room for more fascinating stories, and today I want to share something special with you: a deep dive into the universe of elements and the Djinns, starting with the sub-race known as Efreet.

The Djinns are, without a doubt, one of the greatest marvels of Splinterlands.
These elemental shapeshifters are known for their ability to take on purely elemental forms, but even in their humanoid appearances, the marks of their essence remain visible. Whether through hair that dances like water waves or skin that gleams like steel under the sun, every Djinn carries an unmistakable signature of the element to which they are aligned.

Ah, but before you start imagining a superpopulated society of shapeshifters, let me tell you a curious detail:
Djinns are incredibly reserved when it comes to reproduction.
Because they live for such a long time usually centuries most females have, at most, a single offspring. This makes each new Djinn a true rarity, a being whose arrival can redefine the future of an entire clan.
Now, let’s talk about a specific branch of the Djinns: the fire elementals known as the Efreets.
These majestic creatures, with their reddish skin and eyes burning in shades of orange and red, are anything but discreet. As if that weren’t enough, their hair and beards are replaced by living flames. Towering at up to 2.3 meters tall and weighing more than most humans could ever dream of (what’s their weight, then?), the Efreets are, in every sense, a spectacle.
If there’s one thing the Efreets value above all else, it’s power. Whether it’s physical strength, mastery of magic, or intellectual cunning, status among them is earned. Speaking of status, their diet is as peculiar as their appearance. In addition to meat and other common foods, the Efreets have the habit of consuming specific minerals.
A significant part of Efreet culture converges on Incaendium.
An impressive city (more of a state) located at the edge of a colossal volcanic caldera in the Great Plains.
It is here that the most influential Efreets gather, ruling with the strength of their skills and mystical knowledge. However, not all Efreets call Incaendium home. Many also roam the vast Empire or spread across the Lowlands, seeking new adventures, riches, or lost secrets.

Among the Efreets, the most respected are the Elder Efreets, elders who have mastered magical arts as ancient as the flames themselves.
Legend has it that these secrets were given to them by Mishna, the guardian of the Burning Peaks of Mitreyya. The most striking of their spells is the Envelopment of Flames, an ability that allows the Elders to completely engulf their bodies in fire for a short period. It’s as if they become one with the flames a spectacle both devastating and mesmerizing.
This impressive power closely resembles the natural abilities of Malric Inferno, the legendary summoner.
For those who don’t know, Malric has the unique ability to transform parts of his body into pure fire, a talent that amplifies his connection with the fiery creatures he commands.
Strangely, in the game, he offers bonuses to melee attacks.
Perhaps this is because they only share this knowledge with those they deem truly worthy, which, let’s face it, is a rare combination of advanced age and unquestionable merit. It’s increasingly challenging to find Efreets who meet these criteria.

Por viverem tanto tempo e geralmente séculos, a maioria das fêmeas tem, no máximo, um único descendente. Isso torna cada novo Djinn uma verdadeira preciosidade, um ser cuja chegada pode redefinir o futuro de todo um clã.
Agora, falemos de um ramo específico dos Djinns que, elementares do fogo como os Efreets.
Essas majestosas criaturas, com suas peles avermelhadas e olhos ardendo em tons de laranja e vermelho, não têm nada de discretas. Como se não bastasse, seus cabelos e barbas são substituídos por chamas vivas. São altos e imponentes com até 2,3 metros de altura e pesando mais que a maioria dos humanos jamais sonharia (qual é o peso então?), os Efreet são, em todos os sentidos, um espetáculo.
Se tem uma coisa que os Efreet valorizam acima de tudo, é o poder. Seja na força física, no domínio da magia ou na astúcia intelectual, status entre eles é algo conquistado. E por falar em status, a dieta desses seres é tão peculiar quanto sua aparência. Além de carnes e outros alimentos comuns, os Efreet têm o hábito de consumir minerais específicos.
Grande parte da cultura Efreet converge para Incaendium.
Uma cidade (mais para estado) impressionante localizada à beira de um colossal caldeirão vulcânico nas Grandes Planícies.
É aqui que os Efreet mais influentes se reúnem, governando com a força de suas habilidades e conhecimentos místicos. Porém, nem todos os Efreet chamam Incaendium de lar. Muitos também vagam pelo vasto Império ou se espalham pelas Terras Baixas, buscando novas aventuras, riquezas ou segredos perdidos.
Confira a carta em Splinterlands: Efreet Elder
Entre os Efreet, os mais respeitados são os Elders Efreets, anciões que dominaram artes mágicas tão antigas quanto as próprias chamas.
Diz a lenda que esses segredos lhes foram dados por Mishna, o guardião dos Picos Ardentes de Mitreyya. O que mais chama atenção entre seus feitiços é o Envelamento de Chamas, uma habilidade que permite que os Elders envolvam completamente seus corpos em fogo por um curto período. É como se eles se tornassem um com as chamas, um espetáculo tanto devastador quanto hipnotizante.
Esse poder impressionante lembra muito as habilidades naturais de Malric Inferno, o lendário invocador.

Estranhamente, no jogo ele oferece bônus no ataque corpo-a-corpo.
Talvez isso se deve ao fato que eles só compartilham esse conhecimento com aqueles que julgam verdadeiramente dignos, o que, convenhamos, é uma combinação raríssima de idade avançada e mérito inquestionável. É cada vez mais difícil encontrar Efreet que atendam a esses critérios.
