Hello, everyone! Today I'm back with my last entry of the week for the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge.
¡Hola a todos! Hoy vuelvo con la ultima participación de la semana para el desafio de Social Media de Splinterlands.
In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that I had grown tired of the poor earnings I was getting in SPS in Wild format, considering how much it cost me to play each season and rent a deck.
So I made the decision to start playing in the Modern Ranked format after a few months. This meant I had to build a deck and come up with a new strategy from scratch, as it was my first season using cards from the Rebellion and Conclave Arcana sets.
En una de mis anteriores publicaciones, habia mencionado que me habia cansado de las pobres ganancias que obtenia en SPS en el formato Wild, si tenia en cuenta lo que me costaba jugar por temporada y alquilar un mazo.
Asi que tome la decisión de comenzar a jugar en el formato Modern Ranked después de unos cuantos meses. Por lo que tuve que armar mazo y una estrategia nueva desde cero, ya que era mi primera temporada usando las cartas del set Rebellion y Conclave Arcana.
As a consolation, during my first seven months of playing, I had acquired a considerable amount of GLINT, which allowed me to have cards at a decent level from the Rebellion set.
Another reason I ended up switching to Modern Ranked was that I needed cards from these new sets to participate in Guild Brawls. All the slots that used cards from other sets were always filled, and I had to play in a category where I had practically no cards, where I got almost no rewards.
Now, with my new deck, I've managed to perform well thanks to victories and enemy clan players forfeiting. I've earned 4,714 MERITS and 66 SPS for just one Brawl edition, which I consider a good amount.
Como consuelo, durante mis primeros siete meses de juego habia adquirido una cantidad considerable de GLINT, lo que me permitió tener cartas a un nivel decente del set Rebellion.
Otra de las razones, por las que terminé pasandome a Modern Ranked es que estaba necesitando cartas de estos nuevos set para participar de las Guild Brawls. Todas las plazas que utilizaban cartas de otros sets, siempre se llenaban y me tocaba jugar en una categoria dónde practicamente no tenia cartas, dónde no me llevaba casi recompensa.
Ahora con mi nuevo mazo, he logrado tener un buen desempeño gracias a victoria y abandono de los jugadores de los clanes enemigos. He obtenido una cantidad de 4714 MERITS y 66 SPS por solo una edición de Brawl, lo que considero una buena suma.
After so much inactivity in Modern Ranked, I had to start from scratch: Bronze 3. So I took one of the first two or three days to start winning games to reach a rank where the rewards are more acceptable.
That's how I ended up reaching the Silver rank in a matter of two days. The rewards in GLINT aren't that attractive, but curiously, I started earning almost the same amount of SPS that I got for winning games in Wild in Gold III and Gold II.
Después de tanta inactividad en Modern Ranked, me tocó empezar desde las cenizas: Bronce 3. Así que me tomé uno de los primeros dos o tres días para empezar a ganar partidas para ir llegando a un rango dónde las recompensas sean más aceptables.
Así fue como termine llegando al rango de Silver en cuestión de dos días. Las recompensas en GLINT no son tan atractivas, pero empezaba a ganar curiosamente casi la misma cantidad de SPS que obtenía por ganar partidas en Wild en Oro III y Oro II.
In just three or four days, I had accumulated rewards from Guild Brawls, in addition to what I earned while playing Modern Ranked. I literally earned almost as much as I do in an entire season in Wild, but in SPS.
This is quite important, because I used to invest $5 to $7 every two weeks, hoping to at least recoup my investment.
However, that didn't happen. While I earned a considerable amount of GLINT per season (between 60,000 and 90,000), I didn't generate enough SPS to recoup my investment in the long run. Basically, with the devaluation of SPS, I have the same value in USD today as I did two months ago, despite having continued to accumulate.
En tan solo tres o cuatro días se me habían acumulado las recompensas de las Guild Brawls, además de lo que fui sumando mientras jugaba en Modern Ranked. Literalmente obtuve casi lo mismo que consigo en toda una temporada en Wild, pero en SPS.
Esto es bastante importante, porque antes hacía una inversión de 5 a 7 dólares cada quince días, esperando al menos recuperar lo invertido.
Sin embargo, eso no ocurría. Si bien obtenía una cantidad considerable de GLINT por temporada (entre 60.000 y 90.000), no generaba SPS suficiente como para, a largo plazo, recuperar la inversión. Básicamente, con la devaluación del SPS, hoy tengo el mismo valor en USD que hace dos meses, a pesar de haber seguido acumulando.
Regarding my performance this season, with five days to go, I have already reached Silver I and was close to reaching Gold. Unfortunately, just a few games away from moving up, I started a losing streak and ended up stuck in the last rank.
I hope that by the end of this season, I will at least make it to Gold III, where the rewards in SPS and GLINT start to get quite interesting and will be worth it considering the 5000-6000 DEC I have invested.
Con respecto a mi rendimiento en la temporada, faltando cinco días para que termine la misma, ya he logrado llegar a Silver I y he estado a punto de lograr llegar a Oro, lamentablemente a pocas partidas de subir empecé una racha de derrotas y me terminé estancando en el ultimo rango.
Espero que para terminar esta temporada, al menos lo haga en Oro III, dónde las recompensas en SPS y GLINT empiezan a ser bastantes interesantes y van a valer la pena teniendo en cuenta los 5000-6000 DEC que he invertido.
