The introduction of resource liquidity pools has been one of the most transformative developments to date. With the mechanics of land now fully engaging players, we’re seeing that most landowners—myself included—are only partially self-sufficient. The demand for resources like Grain, SPS, Research, and now Aura has risen sharply. This has led to a natural market-driven solution: the liquidity pools.
And the results have been more than encouraging.
The structure of the pools has done a great job incentivizing participation through fees. With the current volumes being transacted, the yield from those fees has turned out to be quite profitable—even as the mix of resources varies depending on pool composition and player strategy. For me, it has become a natural extension of my strategy: producing what I can on my land and serving as a resource supplier for what others need to keep their plots running efficiently.
It’s refreshing to finally feel that the foundation of a real player-driven economy is being laid—and even better, that I can contribute to and benefit from it. While this may only be the beginning, I believe the most exciting part is still ahead. As Splinterlands continues to roll out more features tied to land—including new resources, crafting options, and deeper utility for plots—the demand for materials will only increase.
That’s why I plan to keep scaling my participation in the resource liquidity pools. Not just because of the short-term returns, but because I truly believe that land is becoming the backbone of a sustainable in-game economy. And being a merchant at the heart of it? That’s a role I’ve been waiting years to step into—and I’m just getting started.
