Bots are clearly the issues that has the community most divided. I have used a number of bots in the past but only for an account or two not a full bot farm. While I do recognize that bot farms extract more than they put in, I do not think using a bot is a bad thing for individual players. Although the game should find ways to incentivize manual play, I can understand how priorities in development are complicated. However, I am firmly against bots used for tournaments and brawls given the competitive nature that these should have.
This is where things get more complicated because nobody really knows who are bots or not. I recently saw a screenshot similar to the one I posted here in which a top ranked player was accused of botting tournaments due to the timing of his game submissions. I found it interesting and actually thought it was good evidence. However, I recently submitted a number of battles before heading to bed and found that submitting battles manually in under a minute between them is actually possible. I was not even trying to do it as it came natural (I was in a rush to get them in).
This shows that we need to be respectful and careful with perceptions we make. I think we need to take care of the aspect that got us out of the last bear market, our community. If we don't, there will be little incentive to work together for the ecosystem. I agree it is not perfect but the intent of the development team is to truly build an ecosystem for the benefit of the community. If you think otherwise, please review your SPS AirDrops from last year. While I am biased as an early player and investor, I am happy to wait an enjoy the game along the journey!
