Introduction
Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
This will be my first entry for this week's Battle Mage Secrets with the featured ruleset Little League. This is a ruleset where only units and summoners with a mana cost of 4 or less may be used in battle.
For this battle that I'm gonna show, I will be using my @agonyaccepted account which is my alternate account playing in Diamond League on modern format.

But before I reveal my battle, let us learn more about this ruleset.
Little League
Little League | Only monsters & summoners that cost 4 mana or less may be used in battles. |
Monsters and summoners of 4 Mana or less will be the only ones available in this ruleset. Try increasing your defense by using summoners that give +1 armor or +1 health.

This battle comes with a 99 mana cap where the active rulesets were Heavy Hitters, Lost Legendaries and the featured ruleset for this week which was Little League. With this in consideration, my lineup was consist of:
Summoner: Quix the Devious - A dragon summoner that reduces the speed and range attack of the opponent team by -1.
- 1st Position: Cruel Sethropod - For 3- mana, this melee monster has good amount of health and armor which makes it a good low mana tank with the only downside that it does not have any abilities.
2nd Position: Tide Biter - Another 3- mana melee monster which has the Reach ability that allows it to attack at the second position and can't be missed since it has the True Strike ability. It also has Reflection Shield which makes it immune to reflect and indirect damage.
3rd Position: Dhampir Infiltrator - This 4- mana melee monster has the Sneak ability which allows it to attack backline monsters and it can attack twice per turn with Double Strike. It also has Cripple which reduces the max health of the target and Affliction that prevents them to be healed.
4th Position: Uraeus - A 3- mana melee monster that also has the Sneak ability as well as Poison which can reduce the health of the target for each turn.
5th Position: Pelacor Bandit - Also Has Sneak ability together with Flying which increases its evasion chance by 25%.
6th Position: Clockwork Aide - This 4- mana monster does not have a attack but can increase the speed of all ally monsters by +1 with Swiftness and removes the armor of the opponent team with Rust.

24-25/29 River Nhymph use Cleanse to remove the debuff on the opponent Cruel Sethropod and deals 2 damage on my Cruel Sethropod.

Battle Recap
Here is a replay of the battle which at you can watch at Splinterlands.
Did My Strategy Work?
With the Little League ruleset, both players cannot use monsters beyond 4 mana in battle, limiting the choices for monsters to use so with this knowledge together with the available elements in consideration, I decided to go with a melee- focused team that can mostly use Sneak together with the use of a summoner that reduces the range of the opponent which has ended- up to be effective since the opponent use range focused team, resulting for their monsters to have less damage while I was able to have full damage on them and win the battle.
That was it for this post. Thank you and see you at the next one.
