Going out and enjoying a good time with friends could energize us from within. The relaxation, calmness, and peace of mind we get when we experience the nature-tripping, hear our friends laugh, and even having random conversations about life. And the moments add up to the truckload of good times we have in our memories and deep inside our heart.
It was a Saturday night when a plan of getting into the river of Cawag came through our heads. We asked a few friends and buddies if they like the idea of nature-tripping on a Sunday morning, and they all felt excited about it. We settled everything from the foods, time of meet-up, meeting place, and who brings things.
The meeting place was in our house, since I insisted to cook most of the foods here. Early in the morning, my friends were already prepared and came by to assist us in getting ready. It took a long drive, minutes of riding a motorcycle, before we touched down in Cawag.
Since we decided to be in a great spot, we had to face the challenge of hiking and walking for another few minutes. We helped each other from holding the pieces of stuff we brought. The guys were assigned to carry the heavy ones, as they are obviously stronger than us.
After a tiring walk, and the sweats dropping, we took some rest while others volunteered to start cooking the other foods we brought. Since we are in a secluded and remote area in the mountains, the guys had to improvise. Cooking at the corner and getting creative on how they can do it perfectly without an advantage of using kitchen utensils.
I grabbed the chance to take pictures of them while cooking, and then worked on organizing and getting the table ready for lunch. We had a moment of feast, but did not get the chance to capture pictures.
After eating, of course, we were too excited to swim and enjoy the day. We went to the water and had some fun.
Since I brought my nephew with me, I started teaching him how to swim. Though he knows the basics already, I still wanted to improve his swimming lessons to enhance his survival skills in water.
The rest of the swimming moment was about laughter and good stories. We shared our thoughts about life and talked about random topics that kept us occupied. We also did not forget to take pictures to keep as remembrance.
Some people say, unexpected trips and travels are the best and I can attest to that. We did not overplan this nature-trip, yet it turned out to be a great day for all of us.
I am so grateful to my readers for taking the time to read my piece. Your support means the world to me. Please accept my deepest gratitude to all of you. I look forward to seeing you on my next blog!
