The Gamecube games are quite different from this one - the closest thing to an HD version of those is the Banana Mania game, but Banana Rumble is its own thing with a whole bunch of original levels and the spindash mechanic being added in.
I think there isn't a Wii U game at all [closest thing would be playing the Wii game through back compatibility on one], and while there IS a 3DS version that I remember playing start to end as a kid...I've heard that it is really watered down in the level design .
Banana Rumble is sure worth checking out if you happen to have access to a Switch [or through an emu], but I sure have to talk again about the old GC Super Monkey Ball games too one day since those were the reason I had an interest in finally getting to see what Banana Rumble was about.
But if you can't get your hands on Banana Rumble at all, then the Gamecube games are absolutely still worth it on their own [most long-time fans basically consider those the best thanks to the sweetspot of level design that challenges your precision with the analog stick and nothing else...in most levels].
Thanks for reading and for your comment :]
