Hello, gamers of Hive! I hope you are doing well.
Today, I faced 2 waves of enemies before meeting with the grand attraction of today's attraction. I have done the almost impossible Live on stream with 3 people watching that is slaying the dragon!
Before we delve into that, let's do a quick recap.
I ventured further inside the mountain and discovered Brök's shop. I learned that his kind used to run the ins and outs of the place and after their disappearance, many kinds of monsters have crept in. I discovered an ambushed caravan that laid out many riches for those who may pass by, fortunately, I was the first one. I found a troll just before ascending to the top of the mountain. And lastly, as it turned out, there was another elevator I had to get to. The only way to get there was to pass the challenges of the Dwarves(traps set by Dwarves). Just ahead lies another shaft that would take me further up the mountain. The post.
I started from the second elevator shaft, again. Unfortunately, the first 2 minutes of the video were not recorded as my internet connection was slow. I thought, why not just record the gameplay on my PS4 and play as usual? Then, I find that my internet was stable and was ready to be used, so I started to stream again. By this time, I had already attempted 3 times and failed each time to pass it.
This time it took me a total of 17 minutes before finally moving on to the next wave of attack. That is 10 minutes in the video. And the most challenging thing in this sequence was those projectile Draugrs. They were placed on the top of either side as 3 other determined Draugrs tried to chop off my head.
Not proud of it, but I had to use my Spartan rage here just to bring down the buffy Draugr.
The monsters were taken care of and Kratos pushes the rock that was held back the platform.
And so, we were finally going up once again. This was when I was certain that there wasn't going to be another ambush.
The second wave arrived just in time. Here too, my health was on the verge of disappearance.
Once the Draugrs were cleared off, I ran out of both HP and Rage and then this guy shows up. this massive, ugly monstrosity arrives. There were no fire pots this time to shred its HP. I thought, "Can this battle get any sweeter?"
Yet I somehow managed to reduce its HP and got on top of it. Sadly, no Draugrs spawned and I had to let it go.
On my second try, I managed to keep my HP above the threshold by a tiny amount and kept my rage meter unused.
The thing gave me good loot. 2 Solid Svartalheim Tseel and a good amount of Hacksilver and HP.
The thing was called an Ogre. It has ginormous arms that allow it to hit its targets from a distance. Yet, it is not very "right" in the head.
As he started to head upward again. We encounter a mythic beast that no one had seen for centuries. This one was an angry beast.
This phase reminded me of the starting battle of God Of War 3, the first boss battle with Poseidon where Poseidon commands the Kraken into subduing Gaia.
Given the difficulty, it took me 6 minutes to figure out how to deal with it here.
The dragon retreated after being slashed, it tried to bite the platform into two but I failed to do and threw it on the other side where it got stuck. Kratos quickly went to unhinge the platform.
He freed it but the dragon lunged in for a second time and somehow got the ropes of the platform latched onto its rocky tail. As it tried to escape the creaking crevice, it threw the platform on an edge where the father and son landed, leaving a pile of debris on its way.
This was where I unlocked the knowledge that I could shatter the red crystals using electric energy. This also meant that I get to go on a tiresome journey back inside the mountain where I left a few chests trapped inside the red crystal.
A frightened man's cries could be heard from the mountain. Kratos and Atreus found that it was Sindri, his shop, and his very life was in danger.
A few more people joined in as Kratos was getting ready to kill this beast for good. He asked Atreus to go right and snap the roped off the claw when he gives the signal.
Kratos jumped from behind the dragon and hopped on. He made his way to the mouth of the dragon where gained its attention. He entered its mouth and was about to slash it from within.
The dragon could not withstand such pain and spat him out of the mouth. They were now in an open area with plenty of room to strike from. The dragon slowly circled its prey as it got ready to release some electric discharge.
It took me a further 4 minutes to understand its attack pattern and bring down this monster. Thankfully, the game devs showed some mercy as the dragon dropped some HP stones, unlike Fromsoft.
Pretty soon, the dragon was living in his last moments as Kratos was close to bashing his head in.
It took a total of 20 minutes to end this chapter of Dragon and it was pretty hectic and difficult. One wrong move and you are dead, and then do it all over again.
As it fell before the God Of War, the true monster was known to all.
The journal of Atreus is a funny one. If you read what he wrote in the last sentence, it reads, "Does he ever get scared?" Boy, if you could see him 1000 years ago...
As Kratos saved Sindri's life, he could not help but feel grateful. He tries to compensate them, he gave braided Misstltoe arrows. Krats was unimpressed and started to leave. So, Sindri proposed to give them something of use. For that, he would need a tooth from the dragon.
Kratos whacks off a tooth and gives it to Sindri.
Sindri pulled out a special dust and blew it on the tooth.
Then he asks Kratos to run the tooth along the bow.
Doing so, now we get to take down the red crystals all by ourselves.
Before heading in I decided to check the wares and see if anything unique had pooped up in the shop. The only thing unique was the quantity of Hacksilver I had. I saw no new armor that would catch my eye, hence I upgraded the current Chest armor.
I found a new waist armor. This one increased my strength by 1 while a slight decrease in defense,
That was recovered when I upgraded it. Now, it did more defense than previously and an increase in strength. But, there was a significant decrease in Cooldown, something which I rarely used to use.
I found that I could buy a better resurrection stone at the hefty price of 5000 Hacksilver. This one would restore almost half my original HP. I went with the cheap one. I firmly believe that I could do the same thing I would with the pricy one.
I found out that I could now upgrade my Leviathan Axe. This increased my Strength by 15.
I upgraded the Talon bow. I could not upgrade the armor on Atreus as they were a single piece and could only be changed by a few other alternates.
I lost a ton of my Hacksilver here, as you can see. So, I had to sell all the artifacts and useless enchantments that I have collected throughout the journey. I raised about 8000 hacksilver from it.
After crafting, I checked the skill tree and found that 10 new skills could be unlocked in the Bow department. I only unlocked 2. It increased damage caused by the electric shock and that electric shock could be passed around to a larger amount of enemies, causing a chain reaction damage.
I entered the dark cave, this was where Atreus started his talking again. I didn't listen to much of his talk and only focused on my talk.
In this mountain, resided a heinous creature. This one lived inside Nightmares and could enhance the attributes of an enemy by entering its body.
I didn't continue much in the game because it was super stressful for me to know that there was yet another grind I would have to use my brain in.
Thank you, guys, for reading so far, I hope you enjoyed the gameplay. See you legends at the next one!
