How to plant and harvest trees?
Planting trees is pretty straightforward.
Step 1: Make sure you have enough plots. Trees can only be planted on Legendary plots and each tree seed requires 1 plot to be planted.
Step 2: Select the tree seed and the plot you want to use then select the number of trees you want to plant. Any tree can be planted in any season.
Step 3: Once your trees have been planted, you must wait for a full season for them to mature.
Step 4: Once your tree is fully grown, you can harvest its fruits once a day provided that the tree is in its season. The timer resets everyday at 12am GMT.
Step 5: You can then sell the fruits like you normally sell your crops from the inventory.
And that's pretty much it.
How does this work?
When you go to the plant a tree section and click on submit, your plot nft is transferred to the dcrops.combine account along with some more information for the game to plant the tree by using that plot. The tree seed nft then gets converted into a tree with the current timestamp set as its 'planted time'.
You can differentiate between the tree seeds and fully grown trees by looking at their nft artwork on the card or market pages.
Additional Notes:
The time required for trees to mature has been temporarily set to 0 for a week. Thus, any tree planted during the week will instantly mature and start producing fruits. This bonus ends on Thursday, November 10, 2022 6:30:00 PM GMT.
