On the list of games that I really enjoy playing but speak way too little about, are the simulator ones. It doesn't matter if it's a cooking simulator, a fishing, driving, farming, or anything else as long as it's a simulator.
It's basically the genre of games that relaxes me the most and which I often end up investing tens and hundreds of hours playing every single simulator I discover. And since we have a simulator game for pretty much every activity and career on this planet, imagine how many games are waiting for me to try them out!
Anyway, a game that I ended up playing because of my boyfriend as he purchased it seconds away when it was put on sale on the Steam market, is Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator.
I actually enjoying the taxi activity long before a simulator was released with this purpose, my first experience being in GTA 3 where I could steal a taxi and then drive people from one point to another while earning some money with this purpose.
Back then, I had no clue about simulator games but only experiencing everything within other games that obviously didn't have the simulator tag in their bio but somehow you could be a cop, a taxi drive, work on an ambulance, or even go fishing. All of them making good subject or simulator games that I enjoy playing in my free time lately.
But when a game is released with this purpose and no other activity but only delivering people from one place to another... then it's a hell yes for me!
And my adventure in Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator started with a quick training session and an exam to take my license which you can see and read more about here, but as time passed, the moment to finally purchase my first car in game came.
I didn't have lots of options to pick from since my level was still low and the amount of money saved wasn't enough for the most expensive one. But it always feels nice to change the vehicle you are driving in a game so you can avoid boredom, so I went all in with this little car which seemed good enough to make it through other cars in traffic as well.
In case you are wondering what happens with the previous car, then worry not! You can sell it for a decent amount of money or hire your first employee that will use it for drives on a specific area on the map and within a schedule that you have freedom to chose.
This is yet another aspect I enjoy about simulator games. If you keep doing over and over again the activity that the whole game is based of, then it will become pretty boring at one point.
But if you have the option to open your own business and hire people to work for you, then it's a smart way to keep you playing the game with the hope to evolve your business as much as possible. And when you get to see some money poping on the screen when the shift of your employee ends, it's even more exciting!
