My Rebellion Buying Strategy Update: It's Time to Sell Many of My Untamed and Beta Cards and to Upgrade My Chaos Legion Cards
The Rebellion Presale has reached halfway through because it started 15 days ago and will end in 15 days and 1 hour unless all 200K Rebellion packs still available for purchase during the presale will be sold before 15 days.
Considering that even though there have been some positive signs in the last two months, the general market situation is still one of Bear Market I think Splinterlands has once again shown its strength and validity as a project because if so many other projects are struggling or have disappeared Splinterlands has sold 300K Rebellion packs in half of the Presale (60% of the available packs).
Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain game and I enjoy playing it, writing Splinterlands related content on my Hive blog and I enjoy selling and buying cards to increase the battle strength of my card collection.
I currently play in ranked battles of the Modern Format.
Modern Format is the only format I can and want to play in because in Modern Format there are no bots and I do not want to play against bots which are tolerated in Wild Format.
In the current season I am in league Gold II with a rating = 2308.
The current season has started in the best way for me because I am achieving better game results than the previous season: win rate + 10.25%.
Over time I have built up a collection of cards that I consider to be quite competitive in the Gold leagues of the Modern Format.
Today in the Modern Format it is possible to use cards from the sets:
- Untamed
- Dice
- Chaos Legion
- Riftwatchers
On December 5, 2023, the Rebellion set will be released, and the Untamed and Dice cards will leave the Modern Format and can only be used in the Wild Format.
For a real player like me who likes to play without the aid of bots the Untamed cards lose much of their value and especially lose the most important use case for me: use in battle.
The game stats of the Rebellion cards are not yet known but as announced by Splinterlands in the latest Splinterlands Town Square:

Knowing the Rebellion card stats will be very important for me to select my future main purchase and upgrade goals.
Although I don't know the statistics of the Rebellion cards today, I decided to move early and today I put up for sale 553 level 1 cards from the Beta and Untamed sets that I had in my collection but never used in battle.
I put my cards up for sale at Low Buy Price -0.5% and spent 553 DEC in fees.
I have also put up for sale many cards above level 1 and have chosen to keep only cards from the Beta and Untamed sets that I consider useful in battle such as Byzantine Kitty level 3 in the hope that one day bots will also disappear from Wild Format to the delight of real players like me.
It is just my prediction (not financial advice) but as long as there are bot farms in the wild format all cards that are not usable in the Modern Format are in my opinion destined to lose value every time they come out of the Modern Format!
That is why I decided to move early and for example today I put up for sale Dragon Jumper, Fineas Rage and Owster Rotwell which are cards I like and would never have sold if there were no bots in the wild format but unfortunately that is not the current situation!
All the DEC tokens I earn from the sale of my Beta and Untamed cards I will use to buy Rebellion packs and Rebellion cards from the market but only when the general sale has started.
In my previous post I shared my basic buying strategy for the Rebellion set.
As for the Rebellion packs, I continue to monitor the market and continue to calculate the difference in dollar cost of 1 Rebellion pack between the Splinterlands Shop and Hive Engine/TribalDex.
In the table below you can see the market values of HIVE, VOUCHER and DEC tokens (November 2, 2023).
Based on the market values I showed you earlier buying a Rebellion pack today has a cost of:
- 4000 DEC + 5 VOUCHERS = 3.7675$ if purchased from the Shop at Splinterlands
- 8.85 SWAP.HIVE = 3.0444$ if purchased on Hive Engine/Tribaldex
The cost difference is 0.7231$ and is in favor of purchasing from Hive Engine.
I have already purchased 10 Rebellion packs from Hive Engine/Tribaldex.
I will purchase more Rebellion packs whenever I find a price below $3.
With a saving of more than $0.70 per pack according to my personal perspective I should be able to buy the Promo cards when the general sale will have already started and if the market value of the promo cards will be less than my saving in buying the packs Rebellion will have made a right choice otherwise not.
While I have decided to put many of my Beta and Untamed cards up for sale on the other hand I continue to increase the battle strength of my Chaos Legion set card collection.
Today I made the following upgrades:
Pelacor Deceiver: level 9 -> level 10.
Cursed Windeku: level 7 -> level 8
Mycelic Slipspawn: level 6 -> level 8
Goblin Tower: level 3 -> level 8
With the upgrades I made today, I brought to 67 the number of maximum level Chaos Legion cards in my card collection:
- 17 Max level common cards
- 26 Max level rare cards
- 6 Max level epic cards
- 19 Max level legendary cards
The cards in the Rebellion set will introduce new game dynamics and new fun, and my goal is to purchase as many Rebellion packs/cards as possible but based on the price I think is right and within my possibilities.
I continue to set growth goals on Splinterlands, hope that bots will be eliminated completely from Splinterlands, continue to increase the battle strength of my collection of usable cards in the Modern Format where there are no bots, and look forward with much excitement to the start of the general sale of the Rebellion set, phase 1.5 of lands, and the fully playable versions of Genesis League Soccer and Soulkeep that will expand the Splinterlands ecosystem

La Rebellion Presale è arrivata a metà del suo cammino perchè è iniziata da 15 giorni e terminerà fra 15 giorni e 1 ora a meno che tutti i 200K pacchi Rebellion ancora disponibili all'acquisto durante la presale saranno venduti prima di 15 giorni.
Considerato che, anche se negli ultimi due mesi ci sono stati dei segnali positivi, la situazione di mercato generale è ancora di Bear Market penso che Splinterlands ha mostrato ancora una volta la sua forza e la sua validità come progetto perchè se tanti altri progetti sono in difficoltà o sono spariti Splinterlands ha venduto 300K Rebellion packs in metà Presale (60% dei pacchi disponibili).
Splinterlands è il mio gioco blockchain preferito e mi piace giocare, scrivere contenuti inerenti a Splinterlands sul mio Hive blog e mi piace vendere e acquistare carte per aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte.

Per un giocatore reale come me che ama giocare senza l'ausilio dei bots le carte Untamed perdono molto del loro valore e soprattutto perdono il caso d'uso per me più importante: l'utilizzo in battaglia.
Non si conoscono ancora le statistiche di gioco delle carte Rebellion ma come annunciato da Splinterlands nell'ultimo Splinterlands Town Square:

Conoscere le statistiche delle carte Rebellion sarà molto importante per me per selezionare i miei futuri obiettivi principali di acquisto e di upgrade.
Anche se oggi non conosco le statistiche delle carte Rebellion ho deciso di muovermi in anticipo e oggi ho messo in vendita 553 carte di livello 1 dei set Beta e Untamed che avevo nella mia collezione ma che non ho mai utilizzato in battaglia.
Ho messo in vendita le mie carte al Low Buy Price -0.5% e ho speso 553 DEC in fees.
Ho messo in vendita anche molte carte di livello superiore al primo e ho scelto di mantenere solo le carte dei set Beta e Untamed che considero utili in battaglia come ad esempio Byzantine Kitty di livello 3 nella speranza che un giorno i bots spariscano anche dal Wild Format per la gioia dei giocatori reali come me.
E' solo una mia previsione (non è un consiglio finanziario) ma fin quando ci saranno le bot farms nel wild format tutte le carte non utilizzabili nel Modern Format sono secondo me destinate a perdere valore ogni volta che usciranno dal Modern Format!
Per questo motivo ho deciso di muovermi in anticipo e ad esempio oggi ho messo in vendita Dragon Jumper, Fineas Rage e Owster Rotwell che sono carte che mi piacciono e che non avrei mai venduto se nel wild format non c'erano i bots ma purtroppo non è questa la situazione attuale!
Tutti i token DEC che guadagnerò dalla vendita delle mie carte Beta e Untamed li utilizzerò per acquistare pacchi Rebellion e le carte Rebellion dal mercato ma solo quando la general sale sarà iniziata.
Nel mio precedente post ho condiviso la mia strategia di acquisto di base per il set Rebellion.
Per quanto riguarda i pacchi Rebellion continuo a monitorare il mercato e continuo a calcolare la differenza del costo in dollari di 1 pacco Rebellion tra lo Shop di Splinterlands e Hive Engine/TribalDex.
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere i valori di mercato dei token HIVE, VOUCHER e DEC (2 novembre 2023).
In base ai valori di mercato che ti ho mostrato prima acquistare un pacco Rebellion ha oggi un costo di:
- 4000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER = 3.7675$ se acquistato dallo Shop di Splinterlands
- 8.85 SWAP.HIVE = 3.0444$ se acquistato su Hive Engine/Tribaldex
La differenza di costo è di 0.7231$ ed è in faveore dell'acquisto da Hive Engine.
Ho già acquistato 10 pacchi Rebellion da Hive Engine/Tribaldex.
Acquisterò altri pacchi Rebellion ogni volta che troverò un prezzo inferiore a 3$
Con un risparmio superiore a 0.70$ per pacco secondo la mia personale previsione dovrei riuscire ad acquistare le carte Promo quando la general sale sarà già iniziata e se il valore di mercato delle carte promo sarà inferiore al mio risparmio nell'acquisto dei pacchi Rebellion avrà fatto una scelta giosta altrimenti no.
Se da un lato ho deciso di mettere in vendita molte mie carte Beta e Untamed dall'altro lato continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte del set Chaos Legion.
Oggi ho fatto i seguenti upgrades:

Con gli upgrades che ho fatto oggi ho portato a 67 il numero di carte Chaos Legion di massimo livello nella mia collezione di carte:

Le carte del set Rebellion introdurranno nuove dinamiche di gioco e nuovo divertimento e il mio obiettivo è di acquistare il maggior numero possibile di pacchi/carte Rebellion ma in base al prezzo che ritengo giusto e in base alle mie possibilità.
Io continuo a pormi obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands, spero che i bots siano eliminati completamente da Splinterlands, continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte utilizzabile nel Modern Format dove non ci sono i bots e aspetto con molta eccitazione l'inizio della general sale del set Rebellion, la fase 1.5 delle lands e le versioni completamente giocabili di Genesis League Soccer e Soulkeep che espanderanno l'ecosistema di Splinterlands
