Hola, como les va a tod@s, continuamos en la recta final del plan de negocios. Ya vimos la Visión, Misión, Objetivos, Metas, Tácticas, El Mercado, la definición del Producto y Puntos de Venta Únicos, e hicimos un repaso sobre el embudo de mercadeo y ventas como herramienta básica para establecer una estrategia de mercadeo, también hicimos consideraciones sobre El Producto desde el punto de vista del mercado, repasamos brevemente los Indicadores Claves de Desempeño y conocimos alguna consideraciones sobre los diferentes tipos de entidad que podemos crear para nuestro emprendimiento. Todos esto posts los puedes ver en esta colección.

Ahora vamos a adentrarnos en la parte culminante del tema. Vamos a ver cómo sacar los numeritos… Esta es la parte que nos va a decir si nuestro negocio, como lo tenemos conceptualizado vale o no vale la pena. Esta es la parte que muchas personas se saltan para luego quedar con las tablas sobre la cabeza…
Todo lo que hicimos anteriormente nos trae a este punto.

Particularmente, yo abordo todo nuevo emprendimiento en dos etapas bien definidas: la etapa pre-operativa y la etapa operativa. En la etapa preoperativa vamos a incluir todas las actividades que tenemos que realizar antes de comenzar a operar y en la etapa operativa vamos a estudiar la operación continua de nuestra empresa.

La principal diferencia entre estas dos etapas, es que en la etapa pre-operativa, básicamente solo se gasta dinero, es la parte de la inversión, aquí no se genera nada, esto te da una idea del músculo financiero que necesitas tener. La etapa operativa comienza a generar dinero en algún momento.

Siendo la etapa pre-operativa una etapa finita y bien definida en el tiempo, yo la trato como un proyecto. Por lo que le aplicas a esta etapa operativa todas las técnicas para llevar un proyecto.

El proyecto pre-operativo (Inversión)

En la etapa pre-operativa vamos a incluir todas las actividades que deban ser desarrolladas antes de comenzar a operar. ¿Cuales actividades son estas? Actividades como:

1. Conformación Legal de la empresa
2. Todas las acciones operativas que hayamos determinado que debemos realizar antes de comenzar a operar. Como por ejemplo:
   a. Compra de equipo
   b. Alquiler de inmuebles
   c. Capacitación
   d. Captación de personal
3. Todas las acciones de mercadeo que hayamos determinado que debemos realizar antes de comenzar a operar. Como por ejemplo:
   a. Creación de Página Web
   b. Creación de Redes Sociales
   c. Gira por canales de Radio
   d. Entrega de Panfletos

   La idea es tener todas estas acciones preoperativas en una lista como la que explicamos en el artículo sobre la definición de acciones

   Al tener todas estas acciones enumeradas, vienen el siguiente paso: hacer un plan. Pero este creo que tiene que ser material para la siguiente entrega.
   Por ahora, lo más importante es tener claro que para comenzar a operar tenemos que pasar ineludiblemente por la fase pre-operativa. Y que tenemos que saber cuanto nos va a costar esta fase.

   Para saber cuánto nos va a costar esta fase, el primer paso es enumerar TODAS las actividades que tengamos que llevar a cabo antes de comenzar a operar.

   Muchos, muchísimos emprendimientos comienzan sin haber analizado esta etapa operativa, y en muchos casos los recursos iniciales no alcanzan ni siquiera para completar esta etapa. Ya yo cometí ese error una vez, al pensar que el emprendimiento era muy corto y no merecía la pena dedicar el tiempo a hacer este análisis. Pues me pasó tal cual, me quedé a mitad de camino.

We already saw the Vision, Mission, Objectives, Goals, Tactics, The Market, the definition of the Product and Unique Points of Sale, and we reviewed the marketing and sales funnel as a basic tool to establish a marketing strategy, we also made considerations about The Product from the point of view of the market, we briefly reviewed the Key Performance Indicators and we knew some considerations about the different types of entity that we can create for our entrepreneurship. All these posts can be seen in this collection.

   Now let's get into the climax of the topic. Let's see how to get the numbers... This is the part that will tell us if our business, as we have conceptualized it, is worth it or not. This is the part that many people skip and then stay with the boards on their heads...
   Everything we did previously brings us back to this point.

   I approach every new venture in two well-defined stages: the pre-operational stage and the operational stage. In the pre-operational stage, we will include all the activities that we have to carry out before starting operations and in the operational stage we will study the continuous operation of our company.

   The main difference between these two stages, is that in the pre-operational stage, basically the money is only spent, it is the part of the investment, here nothing is generated, this gives you an idea of the financial muscle you need to have. The operational stage begins to generate money at some point.

   The pre-operational stage being a finite and well-defined stage in time, I treat it as a project. So you apply to this pre-operational stage all the techniques to carry out a project.

   In the pre-operational stage, we will include all the activities that must be developed before starting to operate. What activities are these? Activities such as:

   1. Legal Formation of the Company
   2. All operational actions that we have determined we must perform before starting trading. For example:
      a. Purchase of equipment
      b. Rental of real estate
      c. Training
      d. Recruitment of staff
   3. All [marketing] actions (@ibrahimc/market-strategy-eng-marketing-estrategy) that we have determined we must perform before starting operations. For example:
      a. Website Creation
      b. Social Media Creation
      c. Tour on Radio channels
      d.Delivery of Pamphlets

   The idea is to have all these pre-operational actions in a list like the one we explained in the article on the definition of actions

   By having all these actions listed, come the next step: planning. But this one I think must be material for the next article.
   For now, the most important thing is to be clear that to start operating we must inevitably go through the pre-operational phase. And that we must know how much this phase is going to cost us.
   To know how much this phase will cost us, the first step is to list ALL the activities that we must carry out before starting to operate.
   Many, many ventures begin without having analyzed this pre-operational stage, and in many cases the initial resources are not even enough to complete this stage. I already made that mistake once, thinking that the venture was very short and it was not worth spending time doing this analysis. Well, it happened to me as it is, I stayed halfway.
