There are days when I feel like my inner photographer self wants to capture interesting things around me. It happens once in a blue moon, and I guess it also depends whether I could see the hidden stories behind every shot I take.
Have you been in a state where you want to grab your camera with you, and just look for subjects that catch your attention? Because apparently, it happened to me today. If you are following my previous blogs, I am only sharing foods and travel blogs, yet here I am showcasing to everyone my entry to the #monomad challenge.
The Abandoned Houses
It's been months since our neighbors left, and I can see the signs of abandonment from their houses. Aside from the emptied space, houses are left high and dry. It was really sad to say goodbye to neighbors whom you've been with for years. The adjustments and the loneliness you feel while looking at their old houses are here.
The Traditional Antenna
Technology offered improvements and innovations to the world, from smartphones to smart televisions. But here's a glimpse of the traditional Television Antenna. I don't if some of you are aware of this, but I am certain that most of the Filipinos here would agree that this is a classic antenna we used for years to achieve the best coverage of TV shows. And yes, even though we now have advanced technology, some still has this.
The Internet Game Changer
Do you still remember how you struggled in having an internet connection? I have crazy stories about it, from climbing a tree to sitting on a window just to settle my fear of missing out what's happening on social media. But there was a game changer, the introduction of Routers. It makes your connectivity better by providing the internet connection you need. Since I am living near a mountain, there are still challenges yet the tall and high antennas also made the connections better now.
The Window Next Door
Maybe you're already asking why would I find a window interesting. I took a chance to capture the window next door because of the creepy story behind it. No one's living in this house anymore, but it is taken care of by the relatives of the owner living nearby. It's the window of the room where the owner died, an old woman. And my brother's girlfriend saw her in this exact spot, looking directly at her. She has no idea that the woman was already dead when she mentioned it to us. Honestly, having goosebumps was an understatement if I were to describe our reaction.
In every photograph, there is a possible story or message behind it. That's the beauty of photography.
I cannot express how thankful I am to those who have taken the time to read what I have written today. Your support means everything to me. Please acknowledge the sincere thanks I feel for each and every one of you. I hope to see you on my next blog and look forward to it!
