Betting Big on the SWAP.HIVE:PWR Pool and Adding Over 120$ of Liquidity | Hive Power Ventures
A week ago, I wrote about the PWR token, a token currently soft-pegged to the value of HIVE, at least in terms of its minimum value. You can find the post in question here.
In that same post I received a generous upvote from @empoderat and the curation account of the Hive Power Ventures project, @empo.voter. Not only that, but I also received a comment from @empoderat himself.
For me, this is one of the key aspects I use to evaluate how much a project might interest me: on Hive, far too often, many people only interact with and reward those they already know, ending up ignoring new or lesser-known users—even when they produce quality content or, at the very least, show great effort and a desire to contribute to the growth of this blockchain.
The fact that the project leader took the time to comment on and curate the content of an unknown user (in this case, me) was the encouragement I needed to commit even more significantly to this project.
This is the same reasoning I applied to another project I really like: the one run by @stickupboys. They are, in fact, one of the very few accounts to which I delegate my HP and am happy to support. I’ve often seen them interact with a wide variety of users, contributing significantly, in my opinion, to Hive’s growth. One of Hive's main challenges, as we know, is retaining new users—a task in which Hive often fails because many (too many) users always support the same few authors they know, sometimes without even paying attention to the quality of their content anymore.
In my view, the ability and willingness to give attention to all users is one of the cornerstones of a project’s growth on Hive. For this reason, after receiving such a positive signal from Hive Power Ventures, I decided to invest in the PWR token with what, for me, is a significant amount.
200 PWR Purchased
The first step I took was to place a buy order on Tribaldex.
A few hours later, my order was fulfilled, and I found myself with 200 PWR.
At this point, I proceeded to add liquidity to the SWAP.HIVE:PWR pool, contributing not only 200 PWR but also about 200 SWAP.HIVE.
In total, this represents over $120 worth of tokens—a few hours ago, it was even more, but HIVE’s value has dropped significantly in recent hours—making this the pool where I have by far the greatest exposure.
This is also evident in the liquidity providers' rankings, where I currently hold 19th place, between @gadrian and @bitcoinflood.
Thanks to this investment, I will now earn about 0.10 SWAP.HIVE and 0.10 PWR in rewards daily.
Not only that, but by exploring the features of Hive Power Ventures—which also has an official website—I discovered that holding more than 100 PWR grants you the opportunity to be curated once a week by the project’s curation account. Personally, I find this to be a welcome bonus, and I particularly appreciated reading that only a small portion of the account's voting power is used for this purpose, while the rest is dedicated to curating as many deserving authors as possible.
This is another aspect I appreciated, which motivated me to invest in the project.

Una Grossa Scommessa sulla Pool SWAP.HIVE:PWR Pool grazie all'Aggiunta di Oltre 120$ di Liquidità | Hive Power Ventures
Una settimana fa ho scritto a riguardo del token PWR, un token che attualmente è ancorato al valore di HIVE, quanto meno dal punto di vista del valore minimo; trovate il post in questione qui.
In quello stesso post ho ricevuto un generoso upvote da parte di @empoderat e dal curation account del progetto Hive Power Ventures, @empo.voter: non solo, ho anche ricevuto un commento dallo stesso @empoderat.
Questo per me è uno dei punti fondamentali con cui valuto quanto un progetto possa interessarmi: su Hive troppo spesso, infatti, molti si limitano ad interagire ed a premiare solo coloro che conoscono, finendo per ignorare utenti nuovi o meno noti anche quando producono contenuti di buona qualità o da cui, quantomeno, emerge tanto impegno e voglia di contribuire alla crescita di questa blockchain.
Il fatto che il titolare stesso del progetto abbia trovato il tempo per commentare e curare il contenuto di un utente che non conosceva (in questo caso me) è stato l'input che stavo aspettando per lanciarmi in maniera ancora più importante sul progetto.
Questo è lo stesso ragionamento che ho applicato con un altro progetto che mi piace molto, che è quello degli @stickupboys, che infatti sono uno dei pochissimi account a cui delego i miei HP e che ho piacere di supportare: li ho infatti visti spesso interagire un po' con tutti gli utenti, contribuendo, a mio avviso, moltissimo alla crescita di Hive, dato che uno dei suoi problemi principali, come sappiamo, è proprio la capacità di trattenere i nuovi utenti, cosa in cui spesso Hive fallisce perchè tanti (troppi) utenti supportano sempre e solo quei pochi autori che conoscono, alle volte senza neanche più nemmeno prestare attenzione alla qualità dei loro contenuti.
La capacità e la voglia di dedicare attenzioni a tutti gli utenti è invece, secondo me, uno dei capisaldi della crescita di un progetto su Hive e, proprio per questo, dopo aver ricevuto un così positivo segnale da Hive Power Ventures, ho deciso di investire nel token PWR quella che per me è una bella somma.
200 PWR acquistati
Il primo step che ho compiuto è stato quello di piazzare un'offerta di acquisto su Tribaldex.
Dopo qualche ora il mio ordine era già stato completato e mi sono ritrovato con 200 PWR.
A questo punto ho proceduto ad aggiungere liquidità alla pool SWAP.HIVE:PWR, aggiungendo, oltre a 200 PWR, anche circa 200 SWAP.HIVE.
In totale si tratta di oltre 120$ dollari di token - qualche ora fa erano anche di più, ma il valore di HIVE è calato parecchio in queste ultime ore - che rendono questa la pool in cui ho di gran lunga l'esposizione maggiore.
Ciò si nota anche nella classifica dei liquidity providers, dove occupo la 19esima posizione, tra @gadrian e @bitcoinflood.
Grazie a questo investimento otterrò adesso circa 0.10 SWAP.HIVE e 0.10 PWR di ricompense ogni giorno.
Non solo, approfondendo le caratteristiche di Hive Power Venutes - che ha anche un sito ufficiale - ho scoperto che detenendo più di 100 PWR si ottiene la possibilità di venire curati, una volta a settimana, dal curation account del progetto: personalmente lo trovo un gradito bonus ed ho particolarmente apprezzato il leggere che, a questo fine, viene impiegata solo una piccola parte del potere di voto dell'account, mentre il resto viene dedicato a curare quanti più autori meritevoli possibile.
Anche questo è un aspetto che ho apprezzato e mi ha spinto ad investire nel progetto.
I miei, come sempre, non voglio essere consigli finanziari, per cui invito chi mi legge ad approfondire autonomamente le proprie scelte, tenendo soprattutto a mente che, come ho già scritto nell'altro post, anche un token soft-pegged come PWR comporta dei rischi.
