7 Days of Using XBOT in the Wild Format: Results, Considerations and My Next Steps
On Splinterlands, season number 148 is underway and will end in 7 days and 19 hours.
Since bots have been banned from Modern Format I have only played in Modern Format and sold many of my cards from the Beta and Untamed sets to create a competitive card collection in Modern Format.
In a game as beautiful and fun as Splinterlands knowing that I am playing against a human player is a very important element for me because it is the main part of my enjoyment.
In my opinion the current division of Ranked play between Modern Format (human players only) and Wild Format (bot allowed + Wild pass) is not an optimal division.
I would much prefer a structure:
- Modern Format only for human players (+ any liquidity bots owned by Splinterlands)
- Wild Format only for human players (+ any liquidity bots owned by Splinterlands)
- Bot Format for private bots and human players.
Splinterlands does not have the same idea as me and in the near future there will be a new format, Survival Mode, in which bots will be allowed as in the Wild Format.
At the beginning of the season I started a test and started using a BOT in the Wild Format.
I chose to try XBOT because it offers a 7-day free trial.

To use XBOT, I delegated to @libertygame27 (my curation account for SPT tokens) my Beta and Untamed cards and also the Chaos Legion and Rebellion cards that I do not use in battle in Modern Format.
The results I had in the first 7 days were not very positive.
XBOT played 6 sessions (1 per day) and in 172 battles got a win rate = 33% and gained 41.6 SPS and 13482 GLINT
There is to be said, however, that XBOT got off to an uphill start because I had played in the Wild Format manully in June and had arrived in Diamond II.
At that time I had a larger number of usable cards in the Wild Format.
So XBOT started in the Diamond II league and went down to the Silver I league.
The results improved in the last two sessions after I delegated more cards.
Today I finished my free trial days but I don't want to end my test here and for that reason today I purchased 1 XBOTLITE token for which I spent 33.99 SWAP.HIVE.
After purchasing 1 XBOTLITE I went to https://xbot.app/accounts and clicked on Check Token
I waited 30 seconds and refresh the page.
I chose to stack the XBOTLITE token as recommended to get access to more functionality.
I then set splinterbank as the recipient of 20% of my game rewards in the Wild Format.
I went to https://xbot.app/accounts and clicked on Config
Then I clicked on Rewards
In the WILD section I entered splinterbank in the first field and 20 in the second field.
Then I clicked on Apply Changes.
The next session will start in 57 minutes, and I am curious to see XBOT's results because today I decided to give XBOT a little help by renting some cards for 6 days.
These were the summoners I originally delegated to libertygame27
To these summoners I added the rental of 5 Chaos Legion summoners of level 6
I also rented 6 Chaos Legion cards with a low rental cost but which I consider useful in battle.
I have delegated 30K SPS to libertygame27 and am considering delegating another 20K SPS.
This season to play in the Wild Format I spent:
- 2000 DEC for Wild Pass.
- 53.96 DEC for renting 11 cards for 6 days.
To reach the break-even point I would have to earn at least 159.81 SPS at the end of the season but that doesn't seem like an attainable result if I look at the first six sessions played by XBOT but the season is still halfway over and I will make the appropriate assessments only at the end of the season.
Based on the results I will obtain in the coming days I will evaluate what to do.
I will end this post with a personal consideration.
Splinterlands is a game with fun gameplay where it is important to choose the best cards from those available that play best based on Battle Rulesets.
For example in the last battle I played today in the Modern Format the choice to use a card with the Taunt ability in first position, an expendable card with the Martyr ability in second position and a card with the Reflection Shield ability in third position was the strategic key to winning the battle.
Using a bot totally excludes gameplay = the best part of Splinterlands and Splinterlands basically becomes an idle-incremental game where only one thing matters: costs and rewards = profit!
Using a bot is equivalent to running the Splinterlands game as a financial management exercise and is also fun for me but playing manually in the Modern Format against human players like me is definitely much much much more fun!

Su Splinterlands è in corso la stagione numero 148 che terminerà tra 7 giorni e 19 ore.
Da quando i bot sono stati bannati dal Modern Format ho giocato solo nel Modern Format e ho venduto molte mie carte dei set Beta e Untamed per crearmi una collezione di carte competitiva nel Modern Format.
In un gioco bello e divertente come Splinterlands sapere di giocare contro un giocatore umano è un elemento importantissimo per me perchè è la parte principale del mio divertimento.
Secondo la mia opinione l'attuale divisione del Ranked play tra Modern Format (solo giocatori umani) e Wild Format (bot allowed + Wild pass) non è una una divisione ottimale.
Mi piacerebbe molto di più una struttura:
- Modern Format solo per giocatori umani (+ eventuali liquidity bots di proprietà di Splinterlands)
- Wild Format solo per giocatori umani (+ eventuali liquidity bots di proprietà di Splinterlands)
- Bot Format per bots privati e giocatori umani
Splinterlands non ha la mia stessa idea e nel prossimo futuro ci sarà un nuovo formato, il Survival Mode, in cui i bots saranno consentiti come nel Wild Format.

Per utilizzare XBOT ho delegato a @libertygame27 (il mio curation account per i token SPT) le mie carte Beta e Untamed e anche le Chaos Legion e Rebellion che non uso in battaglia nel Modern Format.
I risultati che ho avuto nei primi 7 giorni non sono stati molto positivi.
XBOT ha giocato 6 sessioni (1 al giorno) e in 172 battaglie ha ottenuto un win rate = 33% e ha guadagnato 41.6 SPS e 13482 GLINT
C'è da dire però che XBOT è partito in salita perchè a giugno avevo giocato nel Wild Format manulmente ed ero arrivato in Diamond II.
A quel tempo avevo un numero maggiore di carte utilizzabili nel Wild Format.
Quindi XBOT è partito dalla lega Diamond II ed è sceso in lega Silver I
I risultati sono migliorati nelle ultime due sessioni dopo che ho delegato altre carte.
Oggi ho finito i giorni di trial gratuito ma non voglio terminare qui il mio test e per questo motivo oggi ho acquistato 1 XBOTLITE token per il quale ho speso 33.99 SWAP.HIVE.
Dopo aver acquistato 1 XBOTLITE sono andato su https://xbot.app/accounts e ho cliccato su Check Token
Ho aspettato 30 secondi e ho fatto il refresh della pagina.
Ho scelto di mettere in staking il token XBOTLITE come consigliato per avere accesso a più funzionalità.
Ho poi settato splinterbank come beneficiario del 20% delle mie ricompense di gioco nel Wild Format.
Sono andato su https://xbot.app/accounts e ho cliccato su Config
Poi ho cliccato su Rewards
Nella sezione WILD ho inserito splinterbank nel primo campo e 20 nel secondo campo.
Poi ho cliccato su Apply Changes.
La prossima sessione inizierà tra 57 minuti e sono curioso di vedere i risultati di XBOT perchè oggi ho deciso di dare un piccolo aiuto a XBOT prendendo in noleggio alcune carte per 6 giorni.
Questi erano gli evocatori che avevo delegato inizialmente a libertygame27
A questi evocatori ho aggiunto il noleggio di 5 evocatori Chaos Legion di livello 6
Ho noleggiato anche 6 carte Chaos Legion con un costo di noleggio basso ma che considero utili in battaglia.
Ho delegato 30K SPS a libertygame27 e sto valutando se delegare altri 20K SPS.
In questa stagione per giocare nel Wild Format ho speso:
- 2000 DEC per il Wild Pass
- 53.96 DEC per noleggiare 11 carte per 6 giorni
Per raggiungere il punto di pareggio dovrei guadagnare a fine stagione almeno 159.81 SPS ma non mi sembra un risultato raggiungibile se guardo le prime sei sessioni giocate da XBOT ma la stagione è ancora a metà e farò le opportune valutazioni solo a fine stagione.
In base ai risultati che otterrò nei prossimi giorni valuterò cosa fare.
Concludo questo post con una considerazione personale.
Splinterlands è un gioco con un gameplay divertente in cui è importante scegliere le carte migliori tra quelle disponibili che giocano meglio in base alle Battle Rulesets.
Ad esempio nell'ultima battaglia che ho giocato oggi nel Modern Format la scelta di utilizzare una carta con l'abilità Taunt in prima posizione, una carta sacrificabile con l'abilità Martyr in seconda poszione e una carta con l'abilità Reflection Shield in terza posizione è stata la chiave strategica per vincere la battaglia.
Utilizzare un bot esclude totalmente il gameplay = la parte più bella di Splinterlands e Splinterlands diventa in pratica un idle-incremental game dove conta solo una cosa: costi e ricompense = il profitto!
Usare un bot equivale a gestire il gioco di Splinterlands come un esercizio manageriale finanziario ed è anche divertente per me ma giocare manualmente nel Modern Format contro giocatori umani come me è decisamente molto molto molto più divertente!
