Moon Karts: Focus on CENTAURI packs - Cost per Pack Calculation Based on Purchase Options
Moonkarts is a Hive-based arcade race game with nice graphics and good gameplay that is part of the games featured on the Arcade Colony platform.
If you don't know Moon Karts, you can read the guide that I wrote recently in which I explained how to start playing.

In today's post I share a focus on CENTAURI packs, the NFT packs of Moon Karts, specifically considering the cost of purchase.
To play on Moon Karts you need a minimum of two NFTs:
- 1 NFT of type Kart
- 1 NFT of type Driver
There are also other types of NFTs that represent boosters or Kart mechanical parts such as tires or chassis but are not a prerequisite to start playing.
On Moon Karts you can buy individual NFT directly from the Market section or you can buy CENTAURI packs that contain 5 NFTs with the guarantee of finding at least 1 rare NFT in each pack.
In the next screenshot you can see what are the chances of finding a card of a specific rarity within the CENTAURI packs.
It is possible to increase the chances of finding a legendary card (0.8% -> 1.6%) by purchasing Leggendary Fluxes.
It is possible to increase the chances of finding a gold foil card (4% -> 8%) by purchasing the Gold Flux.

The CENTAURI packs can be purchased:
- in the SHOP of Arcade Colony
- on Hive Engine by purchasing the tokenized version: the CENTAURI tokens.
In the SHOP of Arcade Colony you can use two payment methods: the CREDITS or SCRIPT tokens.
1 CENTAURI pack costs:
- 5 CREDITS
- or 5 SCRIPT
On Hive Engine 1 CENTAURI costs 9.49 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask Value)
What is the best (most affordable) option to purchase 1 CENTAURI pack?
To find the best option for buying 1 CENTAURI pack, it is important to know and compare the dollar cost of 1 CENTAURI pack for each of the payment methods you can choose.
In the next image you can see the current market values in dollars of the HIVE token and the SCRIPT token.
Based on these values, I calculated the dollar cost of 1 CENTAURI pack for each selectable payment method.
Today, February 5, 2025, the best option to purchase 1 CENTAURI pack is to buy from Hive Engine: 9.49899999 SWAP.HIVE = $3.0777
You can obtain a lower cost per pack by purchasing in a single transaction:
100 CENTAURI packs from Arcade Colony's Shop (total cost 500 SCRIPT + 5 COLONY = $315.87) because in this case you can receive +5 bonus packs that drop the cost per pack to $3.00
500 CENTAURI packs from Arcade Colony's Shop (total cost 2500 SCRIPT + 50 COLONY = $1579.36) because in this case you can receive +50 bonus packs which drops the cost per pack to $2.87
2000 CENTAURI packs from Arcade Colony's Shop (total cost 10000 SCRIPT + 300 COLONY = 6317.49$) because in this case it is possible to receive +300 bonus packs that drop the cost per pack to 2.74$
The last option that can be chosen to purchase CENTAURI packs is the creation of a purchase offer on Hive Engine.
At this time, creating a purchase offer (BID) is the best purchase option, but it is also the least immediate option and may not necessarily come to realization because it requires some seller to accept the purchase offer.
So far I have purchased and opened 50 CENTAURI packs but I would like to purchase more packs.
Today I created a purchase offer to purchase 8 CENTAURI packs.
My purchase offer is the best on the market and in my next post on Moon Karts I will show you whether my purchase offer was accepted or not.

Moonkarts è un Hive-based arcade race game che fa parte dei giochi presenti sulla piattaforma Arcade Colony.

Nel post di oggi condivido un focus sui CENTAURI packs, i pacchi di NFT di Moon Karts, considerando in particolare il costo di acquisto.
Per giocare su Moon Karts è necessario avere un minimo di due NFT:
- 1 NFT di tipo Kart
- 1 NFT di tipo Driver
Ci sono anche altre tipologie di NFT che rappresentano boosters oppure parti meccaniche del Kart come le gomme o il telaio.
Su Moon Karts acquistare singoli NFT direttamente dalla sezione Market oppure è possibile acquistare i CENTAURI packs che contengono 5 NFT con la garanzia di trovare almeno 1 NFT raro in ogni pacco.
Nel prossimo screenshot puoi vedere quali sono le probabilità di trovare una carta di una determinata rarità all'interno dei CENTAURI packs.
E' possibile aumentare le probabilità di trovare una carta leggendaria (0.8% -> 1.6%) acquistando i Leggendary Flux.

In base a questi valori ho calcolato il costo in dollari di 1 CENTAURI pack per ogni metodo di pagamento sceglibile.

In questo momento la creazione di un'offerta di acquisto (BID) è l'opzione di acquisto migliore ma è anche l'opzione meno immediata e non è detto che si realizzi concretamente perchè è necessario che qualche venditore accetti l'offerta di acquisto.
Fino ad oggi ho acquistato e aperto 50 CENTURI packs ma mi piacerebbe acquistare altri packs.
Oggi ho creato un'offerta di acquisto per acquistare 8 CENTAURI packs.
La mia offerta di acquisto è la migliore sul mercato e nel mio prossimo post su Moon Karts ti mostrerò se la mia offerta di acquisto è stata accettata oppure no.
