This is Jet, exploring my desk and randomly walking with 4 paws across the keyboard, as usual. She always seems to open developer mode on Firefox, and sometimes watches everything I'm doing on screen, combined, is weird af.
Bat focuses on a dangling toy outside in the cat tent
Bat was his initial name, but now in reality he gets called Gandalf, Little Bull, White Tiger, Fluffy-goofy-head, among others.
Those little dots are a computer input matrix system of how cats can move about our environment so fast. That's where whiskers come out, but the arrangement isn't random. if you look it up, whiskers are pretty technologically advanced.
Fave position. Fully exposed, must be he feels very happy secure and safe. In the open cats never expose their belly in such a way, it is their softest and most vulnerable body part!
A large inspiration for this post was this massive hug the 2 of them had last night, it was so cute. I couldn't get over how Bet was wrapping her front paws ('arms') around Bat, as they spooned together in a blissful deep nap ...
More of that incredible nap
After last nights cute hugs and sleep, today out in the garden to explore. Here is the last few showing Bat in his full camouflage mode!
He really must blend in and be pretty much invisible to many creatures. However pretty sure the birds are still smart enough to stay away.
We can see you Little Bull! Soon he will come charging out at a helpless butterfly or fly or other small bug ... most of them however seem to get away. Someone needs to cut the grass soon!
7 Months Later
It's already how long went by since these guys were born on the 26th Feb 2022. There's been a few updates over the months on this profile, actually just about 1 month since the last extensive update. However today I wanted to put out some more to accompany this our latest update on Bat and Jet.
Yin and Yang
Bat and Jet, in order, the white one is the male the other a female. Bat has had his testicles surgically treated to remove the productive bits ... erm, he's speyed. Doesn't stop him thinking his sister is his girl, and taking care of her however. Even giving her a bit of a dry humping a few times when she was on heat and very desperate. Yah, that one was really something bizarre to witness. Let nature take her course, no interference. He massaged, distracted, and outright pinned her down for a dry hump.
To breed or not to breed
Considering then, a whole other tale to be told about Jet when in heat recently being, feral, af, and a Houdini at escaping. It will also come back, and have to be handled again soon. In between, she's the chillest little girl. Will we take her to be ... erm, 'done' also, soon? That depends ... it would be a shame, potential if a Siamese breed stud can be found would be awesome. That'd would also produce some new breed in demand, as she is half-siamese half Thai cat. Mixing a litter with a Siamese dad would make 75% Siamese and 25% Thai cat breed (which possesses the Siamese qualities also). Our research uncovered willing adoption homes as far away as England the USA, they want the exotic kitten all the way from Thailand, and they'd get to live a great life!
So, that's always an option. 3-4 litters per year with average of 6 kittens that can be sold for a minimum of $500 each is tempting. Yet it would virtually be opening a Cattery business, it's a bit of a conundrum. I'd need to have someone working full time or I'd be consumed completely in cat husbandry. OMG.
