From August 14-16 the Blockchain Summit Latam took place in Bogota, Colombia where @soy-laloreto @arlettemsalase @starkerz and I had the opportunity to represent Hive and show the attendees all the growth opportunities that our blockchain has.
El 13 de agosto aprovechamos para conocer @cafedelafondabog y realizar un onboarding efectivo el cual nos permitió coordinar un posterior side event de Hive donde los asistentes pudieran realizar el pago de su consumo con HBD y obtener un cashback a través de @thedistriator, en unos días les contaré más detalles sobre esta actividad a través de un video resumen. El 14 de agosto, primer día del evento, se realizó un business day donde Matt fue el encargado de presentar Hive ante empresarios y representantes de los proyectos que formarían parte de la cumbre. Allí tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer también sobre lo que ofrecen las otras empresas y prepararnos para mostrarles Hive de una manera atractiva desde su punto de vista, es decir, desde lo que más podría beneficiarles o interesarles. Este día también se realizó el onboarding de @mindcaffebogota, un restaurante crypto que sería el segundo en aceptar HBD como método de pago en Bogotá.

El día 15 de agosto, despertamos temprano para prepararnos ya que era el primer día de trabajo de stand, si has participado en eventos como este sabes que este tipo de trabajo es el más fuerte, pero también provechoso ya que llega el momento de realizar conexiones valiosas, hacer onboarding efectivo y hablar mucho, pero mucho sobre Hive jajaja. Este día también tuvo lugar la ponencia de @arlettemsalase titulada "Introducción al protocolo Hive, ¿Por qué Hive y qué soluciona?". En la noche asistimos a un side event organizado por Polkadot y Metapool donde pudimos conectar de una manera más personal con otros proyectos.
On August 15, we woke up early to get ready because it was the first day of booth work, if you have participated in events like this you know that this type of work is the strongest, but also profitable because it comes time to make valuable connections, make effective onboarding and talk a lot, but a lot about Hive hahaha. This day also took place the presentation of @arlettemsalase entitled “Introduction to Hive protocol, why Hive and what does it solve?”. In the evening we attended a side event organized by Polkadot and Metapool where we could connect in a more personal way with other projects.
El 16 de agosto realizamos nuevamente trabajo de stand junto @marialeovalless y @helengutier2, dos hivers venezolanas que viven desde hace algunos años en Bogotá y que estuvieron apoyándonos durante los días del evento. En horas de la tarde @soy-laloreto y yo fuimos las encargadas de dictar un workshop sobre Hive titulado "Hive, una puerta de entrada a web3" y @arlettemsalase formó parte de un panel bastante interesante sobre marketing web3. Debo decir que me gustó mucho la sinergia del equipo, aunque éramos pocos, mantuvimos la energía a tope para así lograr obtener buenos resultados antes, durante y después de la actividad. Aunque al evento no asistieron el número de personas que esperábamos, todos estuvimos de acuerdo en que las que asistieron fueron de mucha calidad ya que logramos conectar con muy buenos proyectos como Bitget, Metapool, TruBit, Nouns Dao, Worldcoin, Polkadot, LBank Labs, ICP, etc., a su vez, conocimos representantes de varios proyectos phygital, traders, inlfuencers, empresarios y freelancers, creamos un aproximado de 50 cuentas y gracias a Matt realizamos el onboarding de más de 5 negocios, los cuales estarán aceptando HBD a través de Distriator. Bogotá es una ciudad con gran potencial y creo que aún queda mucho trabajo por hacer, tomando en cuenta el interés de las personas en nuestro ecosistema y nuestra moneda estable.

I must say that I really liked the synergy of the team, although we were few, we kept the energy to the top in order to achieve good results before, during and after the activity. Although the event was not attended by the number of people we expected, we all agreed that those who attended were of high quality as we managed to connect with very good projects such as Bitget, Metapool, TruBit, Nouns Dao, Worldcoin, Polkadot, LBank Labs, ICP, etc., in turn, we met representatives of several phygital projects, traders, investors, entrepreneurs and freelancers, we created approximately 50 accounts and thanks to Matt we made the onboarding of more than 5 businesses, which will be accepting HBD through Distriator. Bogota is a city with great potential and I think there is still a lot of work to do, taking into account the interest of people in our ecosystem and our stable currency.
Para el sábado 17 de agosto organizamos nuestro side event en Café de la Fonda, la sede bogotana, resalto esto porque en Rosarito, México, también se realizó el onboarding efectivo de otra de sus sedes. Nuestro side event estuvo muy divertido ya que además de abrir cuentas y realizar acompañamiento a nuevos usuarios, se logró que todo el consumo fuese pagado con HBD y le enseñamos a cada persona a realizar su pago obteniendo un cashback automático a través de Distriator. Como última actividad realizamos un tour del café donde el equipo de Café de la Fonda nos enseñó el proceso de realización de su producto y nos hablaron sobre la historia del café, lo cual nos sirvió para realizar una pequeña trivia entre los participantes donde resultó ganador @fabian123, uno de los nuevos usuarios de nuestro ecosistema, recibiendo unos calcetines de @metamerch como premio.

El domingo 18 de agosto se suponía que era nuestro día de descanso, pero de igual manera aprovechamos de conectar con el representante de un proyecto de brokers Dominicano que desea expandirse a Venezuela, intercambiando ideas y beneficios. El día lunes visitamos Bruders, un restaurante/cervecería artesanal que está interesado en adoptar el HBD como método de pago, así que próximamente estarán viendo muchos más establecimientos haciendo uso de nuestra stable coin. Finalmente el día martes decidimos recorrer la ciudad para conocer un poco de sus lugares emblemáticos; debo mencionar que Colombia es un país muy hermoso con un crecimiento muy interesante y un nivel de adopción que va en subida, lo veo como un excelente país para construir, vimos muchísimo interés de las personas en lo que ofrece nuestro ecosistema. Sunday August 18th was supposed to be our day off, but we still took the opportunity to connect with the representative of a Dominican brokers project that wants to expand to Venezuela, exchanging ideas and benefits.
